I recently purchased an outfit for DD that was described as NEW in the title. As the detailed description did not mention the condition of the item I emailed the seller and asked that if by "new" she meant new without tags. Her response was "Yes .....it's new without tags. Very excellent condition. Just hung in the closet and was never worn."

Well the item arrived today and while it is very cute it has tiny stains on the overalls and 3 of the decorative bibs you can button on and off are dirty or stained (one appears to have dried food on it). I like the outfit but would not have paid as much as I did if I had know it was stained. Should I just forget about it or email the seller? I would be willing to keep the outfit for a reduced price but I am such a wimp about these things.

Thanks in advance!
Carrie

I would definately email the seller b/4 you leave any feedback at all. When I've had problems I've done that and it's always been fixed (new item, money back, etc.). Don't tell her that you're willing to keep the outfit for a slight refund, leave it up to her to figure out the solution. I would save the offer as a last ditch effort to recover some money. Hopefully she will correct the problem quickly.

I did the same thing when I received a filthy stroller that was advertised "like new" (except that in my case the stroller was so bad that I requested my money back). The seller apologized and there was no problem with undoing the transaction. I never left any feedback for him.

I would email the seller with something like, "I received the outfit I won today and was disappointed. It has small stains on the overalls and 3 of the decorative bibs you can button on and off are dirty or stained (one appears to have dried food on it). Please let me know what you would like to do to remedy this transaction."

A good seller should either offer you a partial refund or else have you send it back to her for a full refund. :D

Thanks for helping me be brave!!!!! I contacted the seller and they were great and immediately resolved the situation to my satisfaction. I was hesitant because I have had a problem before with another seller and they did not make me happy...in retrospect I should have pushed the issue that time.

Again thanks - now off to wash out the stains!!!!!
