Is it safe to swim alone with baby?

My apartment building has a pool, but I hardly ever use it, because there is usually no one around, and I am very paranoid, and I worry if I fell and knocked myself out (or some other freak event), Kai would essentially be left alone. It's not likely I know, but you know how they say you shouldn't swim alone...in a sense, I would be alone because there would be no other adult.

I'm wondering if those of you who have pools swim with just you and the baby (or toddler)? TIA

Just thinking out loud here...

How would it be any different than taking a shower or bath home alone?

You can always call a friend and give them a headsup that you'd be outside and call back again when you get home. That way they'd know you were OK.
