View Full Version : Where can I find a cool keepsake box for the new baby?

I was given a Mary Somebody or other box and baby book for Sophie.
COMPLETELY not my taste, but it did the job.
I've been kind of looking online, but haven't seen anything that really curls my toes.
Suggestions?
I've already Googled and looked at Exposures, so not much there.

Not really sure what curls your toes exactly :) , but I found this online:
http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=533315&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=295&categoryId=299&topCat=1
Also, since we are doing Pooh Bear for our nursery (and everything else it seems) we bought a baby book at Wal-Mart and they also had a matching box. I looked for it online but couldn't find it.
If you find a baby book you like but can't find a box, you could always make your own box by buying a box from Michaels (or someplace like that) and decorating it with fabric or pictures.
HTH!

Marisa - Check out "Once Upon a Family". Its a company that focuses on capturing and storing tradional memories, etc.
http://www.onceuponafamily.com
Click on "View our Products" then select the first link "cherished child". They have several different boxes there.
The company started in Southern California and uses independant consultants (Like Avon, Pampered Chef, Partylite, etc.) to sell its products. If you're interested, click on the link and they should be able to assign you to a consultant that has territory in your area.

I was given a really nice wooden box as a shower gift. They got it from the Bombay Company.

I'm looking for something much more simple. Like with unusually made paper or something.
I think I might have to make a trip to the city to Kate's Paperie. VERY cool store. Sick expensive.

Marisa,
I received a gift box full of baby clothes from Baby Gap. The box itself was really pretty and very simple: off-white with a big satin bow. I used that as a keepsake box. Not sure they still have them, but I liked it a lot! HTH!

I found a really cute one at Kate's today. Unfortunately they didn't have a book to go with.
So now I have to find the book ;)
The box is in the car, but I will try and post a pic tomorrow

I have the Molly West albums that everyone here always recommends. She does keepsake boxes as well, though I don't know fi it's your style.
They sell on babycenter for cheaper, but I like this site because it shows all the different styles.

I currently am considering this one, or something similar, like finding an artist to paint a wood box for me in the design of my choice.

Love the Molly West stuff. I saw some of it at Kate's yesterday.
I'm just not prepared to drop that kind of cash though :(
