View Full Version : Has anyone received their replacement piece for recalled Britax Marathon?

It just occured to me that we still have not received our part - I know we called right after the recall which it has been over a month now & still no part. Just wondering if anyone else got theirs.
Sorry for posting this here - probably belongs in the car seat forum, but I know there is more traffic here!

I got mine about two weeks ago. I think someone mentioned in the carseat forum that they should all be rolled out and received by the end of Sept. If yours doesn't feel loose, I wouldn't worry too much. Check the carseat forum for more info. There have been similar posts there.

We got ours here a couple of weeks ago. We're in California -- I don't know if that makes a difference.

Yes, I got it last week. I didn't call, they just went on my registration info. Hope you get yours soon!

Same here...last week. IMO, I don't see the difference between the new and the old piece. It's just the strap that you pull to tighten/loosen the harness. I wouldn't worry that you are in any great danger by not having it right away. I'm sure it's on it's way...a lot of people own Marathons. Hope you get yours soon too!

We just got ours on Saturday. We didn't call though, I think they just pulled our info from our Warranty Registration card.

We got ours about 2 weeks ago.
I got it at least 2 weeks ago, maybe more. I thought they were pretty quick about it because they are based in Charlotte and we are fairly close.

Wen - I just figured out they were in Charlotte!!! so I figured I should have mine by now.
My DH called for me (what a guy!) & asked the status. The guy on the line said call back if we don't have it by October 1st since their goal is to get all of them out by the end of the month. My DH asked the customer service rep if he would check to see if we were in their system as needing one - they service rep said if you called in to request one (which we did since we literally got our Marathon & the next day it was recalled so I wanted to call instead of wait for the warranty card to get there) they merely wrote it on a piece of paper & took it back to shipping. Nice. So I'm thinking I'm going to have to call again in a few weeks to ask for another one - although my warranty card should have gotten there by now!
Yep. Got it a few weeks ago.

I just realized that we still haven't received ours. It looks like I'll be making a call!

We got ours earlier this month - maybe the 9th or 10th? DH installed it, and it seems to be fine.

We received our about two weeks ago. DH has yet to install it, Grrrr.

Yup, got mine two weeks ago and just installed it yesterday. A gf of mine didn't get hers though. She called them today and they said they are still in the process of sending them out and hope to have all of them shipped by the end of October.
