I'm just so excited about my new iPod mini!! It's so cute and has amazing sound! I spent way too many hours downloading music into my computer today but it's worth it. Even put some Sesame in for the kids :) DH also bought the FM adaptor so I can listen in the car. The best part was it was such a surprise- had no idea DH would get me one.
A close second is the Seinfeld seasons 1-3 gift set- can't wait to sit down and watch! Can't wait to hear what you loved :)

I got some major bling!! Tim bought me a college ring that he says was from last year and for this year and for my graduation gift last year. It is so gorgeous and it was a total surprise!! It has a Double T in the middle (for Texas Tech) and is surrounded by 14 small diamonds. I LOVE IT!!! It is almost twice the size of my wedding ring, but maybe that will be next year's bling. :) Thanks for letting me share!
Enjoy listening to your iPod,
Angela

Mine has to be my Kitchen Aid professional mixer from the IL's. I've wanted one for awhile but didn't put it on my list. I was absolutely floored when I unwrapped it! My MIL must have been really paying attention to me because I don't even remember mentioning it to her.

DH gave me a diamond pendant! I was so surprised. It is absolutely gorgeous. It is an Asscher cut set in platinum. I must say, I am still a little nervous about having it set in platinum versus yellow gold because all my other jewelry is yellow gold. However, I've decided I'll get a dual-tone watch and make everything come together. :)
It is absolutely beautiful and I was floored that DH bought such an extravagant gift, especially without any prompting from me.

My other favorite gift is a drawing of DS done by my SIL. She is quite an amazing artist. She drew DS holding a golf ball and golf club. They have a golf hole and flag in their yard and DS loves to play whenever we are there. It is so cute.

Great question!
My favorite gift was a year of maid service!! Thank you, DH! With a new baby and a toddler, and moving to a 4 bedroom house from a 1 bedroom condo, I definitely need help in the cleaning arena. I just couldn't find time for real down and dirty cleaning. Now I don't have to.

I received so many great things from my family, but I'll give you my top three:
1. A Dyson from DH (yea!)
2. A Moby wrap from my grandma (I was so proud of her for going online to get it - completely unexpected!)
3. DVD set of Felicity Season 3 from DH (I am a total addict)
Fun thread!

Great topic, I am so glad you posted this! Gives me a reason to talk about my gift. Now, I wasn't expecting anything from DH. I made him promise not to buy me anything, because I am getting a new laptop as soon as I decide what I want. That was going to be my present, and then some! So I was surprised when he gave me a big ole box to unwrap!
It was this:
http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/user_files/18832.jpg
Sorry for the bad photo. He made a shadow box for me. It has Jonah's birth announcement, a newborn photo, the hospital bracelets, and the hospital hat and blanket all arranged just perfectly. Oh, I was so impressed! And touched! And just amazed!! DH was a pretty romantic guy before the baby...but he hasn't been creative in awhile. I guess he has been saving up all of his "sweet husband" stuff for one day! To come up with something so perfect without any hints...well, you girls know what I mean! ;) I just love it, and I know it will be my favorite Christmas gift for a long time! I can't imagine him topping this! He made me cry! :)
Of course he KNOWS that he did such a great job and is gloating about how this makes up for all of the stupid things he has done lately, and that he has a "free pass" for awhile! Oh well, he deserves it, I guess. What a great guy I have!! :)
That is wonderful!!!! If DH did that for me, I would be SO wonderfully touched! You are so lucky :)
My most extravagant gift was a digital camera! It is nice and compact for my purse/diaper bag. We've had an old dinasour of a digi for some time--a Sony that uses a floppy and can only hold 9 photos! I am SO excited to snap away now.
And, I also got from DH a certificate for Sewing Boot Camp that I'm pretty excited to use.
My parents sent me some random stuff but my favorite from them is a book light. I have always wanted one for some reason.

Dh bought me a laptop for Christmas. It's a Toshiba Satellite A75...so fast, too. Now that we have a wireless router, I can surf these boards from the tub, kitchen, garage....oh my gosh, it is soooooo cool! I don't think I've put it down since we got it. But it wasn't a surprise.
My dad bought me a set of Waterford Crystal wine glasses (Kelsey-there's a pic below). It was such a surprise because they were on my wedding registry from 3 years ago! Oh well, I'm a daddy's girl and my father has always wanted me to have fine things. My mom asked if we could use them tonight because Christmas dinner was at my house, but I just couldn't bring myself to put them out for people whose coordination was off due to the massive amounts of "nog" people were drinking. Hee hee. Hope everyone enjoyed Christmas (and the holiday season).

Jamie-
It's not quite platinum, but you can have your yellow gold dipped and switched to white gold. I did it with my diamond studs.
All my stuff is either platinum or white gold and honestly, even side by side, you can't tell the difference between the two except for the price. ;)

I wrote a list of everything that I wanted and DH got everything for me, but I loved his suprise gift for me. A gift card to Vicky's Secret. This is probably part gift from him too, but I can't wait to get some new undies that aren't Fruit of the Loom. Plus I got two pairs of Stay At Home socks. They are awesome. There are so fluffy and great! I highly recommend them.

Every year DH surprises me with some handcarved Santas to add to our collection. My mom gave us our first Santa who came with a labrador and lived in the County Cork (DH's clan) for our very first Christmas in our home. We add to our collection each year & I keep them on display year round.
So this year, we added:

Thanks. I'll try to post a pic of the drawing when I get home (we are at the ILs now). It's framed, so I'm not sure how it will turn out but I'll give it a try.
As for the photo of the diamond pendant, I actually saved the example photo from the Blue Nile website to the computer and then attached it from there. It looks very comparable to the actual necklace.

I had lots of "favorite" gifts this year....but I think the best was two sets of antique salt and pepper shakers my mom bought for me to start a collection. (I had a cookie jar collection that shattered when the shelf fell off the wall and broke every last one. Yeppers...I cried!) One is a cute little country man and woman and the other is two cute little mice. Now to get a new shelf....thank goodness we have a new house with better walls! And he got me the huge book with all the cartoons ever published in The New Yorker! I have been drooling over it, but just could not justify the price. It really is a neat book!

My family (parents and my husband) sent me to a spa for the morning on Christmas Eve. My nails look great, my body has been massaged and my skin is glowing. My husband made homemade bagels for Christmas. That was huge gift for me since I love them and he has not made them in SOOO long.
A close second are the 3 pairs of size 11 shoes I bought on the afternoon of the 24th. Not great shoes (all Nine West) but they are size 11 and 2 pairs have real heels on them! My husband threw away my on their last legs clogs and told me to go out and buy new shoes for Chrsitmas.

Another vote for the mini iPod! DH got me the blue one I wanted, and Apple even inscribed my name and the date on the back...so cool! With all of my business travel, I cannot wait to use it during all those long, tedious flights!
DH also surprised me with a strand of cultured pearls. How funny he knows my style though; rather than the traditional "Grandma's pearls" he bought a short (16") strand with large (8.5MM) pearls, which give them a definite modern, stylish look...
Third place definitely goes to my Mom's gift -- big GC to Nordstrom (with strict instructions to spend it on myself, not DS) !!!

I got DH a Tivo 3 years ago for his birthday, and it is by the far the best gift either of us have ever gotten -- EVER! Yes, I'm also a TV junky. :-)
We have a wireless router and we each have a laptop, so after DS goes to bed, we become the ultimate couch potatoes!!! ;-)
