So... I think I want one? I don't want to spend the big $$ on the ipod. I don't need this for working out or anything. Basically, for the house and the car. I'm tired of flipping through the stations and not so good at changing CDs while driving.

Suggestions? I'm thinking around $100 or less. TIA!

It all depends on how many songs you want to keep on the mp3 player. More songs = more money.

If you're happy with just a 100 or so songs - you can snag an Ipod Shuffle for 69 or 99 bucks depending on the size you want. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/70108/wo/JU4QDWewwAeg2BYCWXO1vH2NCu6/1.SLID?nclm=iPodshuffle&mco=FDA6A5AA

I really would suggest you consider an Ipod over any other mp3 player. Apple has really gotten it right with everything about the Ipod, the software useability etc and is just heads and shoulders above most anything else out there. Plus there are TONS more accessories for Ipods than most any other mp3 player (like car adapters for example).

also, there are a bunch of ipods on e-bay, (although i am not sure how i'd feel about buying electronics there) because a lot of people upgrade and sell their older ones there.

i just got dh an ipod nano to work out with, and i have an older model mini, and they are great.

I bought my husband a Sandisk Sansa MP3 player for Christmas (I wanted to get him an ipod, but too much $$ and they were all sold out except the shuffle anyway!) He really likes it, and it was only about $70 for a 512Mb. (the memory also can be expanded with a memory stick)

HTH!

I have an ipod shuffle and I just love it. I don't need to store a lot of songs, and it is *so* tiny and lightweight.

ditto, lol. The exact same thing. He loves it. Now I want one for me and can't find the same kind of deal.

Yes. You need an FM radio adaptor I believe. DH hasn't gotten one yet, but has been looking at them.
