Our local paper had a story about the Combat Support Hospital in Iraq needing supplies for new moms. They need basic supplies, such as diapers, wipes, bottles, etc. To try to get more donations of what they need, they have registered at Babies R Us. It's not all-inclusive and they'll take donations that aren't on the registry. I thought I'd post it here in case someone wants to help out.

The registry is under the name: Jose Vazquez and Combat Support Hospital Iraq, registry # 99326615. My e-mail is Jose.vazquezvicente@us.army.mil.

They chose Babies-R-Us because they ship to an APO address, but alternatively you may choose to mail it yourself. Our address is:

CPT Jose O. Vazquez or Department of Ob/Gyn
Task Force North
APO AE 09348

All donations will be used at the Combat Support Hospital and any surplus will be donated to the local hospitals.

I just wanted to add that since it's an APO mailing address, it will not cost anymore money to ship the items than it takes to get them USPS to New York. The government takes care of the ladding to Iraq.

Sounds like a worthy cause. Will see what we can spare.
