We are getting black and white family pics taken this weekend. What is the best color combo to wear? I like the look of simple white dresses/shirts but will it look too boring on all of us? Maybe black for DH and me and white dresses for the girls?
Any suggestions for photographers websites to look at for ideas?
Thanks!!

For our family portraits, we've worn black shirts or white shirts with blue jeans or khaki pants. DD and I are usually in a round or v-neck shirt, while DH and DS wear collared or turtleneck shirts.
I was told by a photographer once that it's best to wear solid colored shirts with long sleeves or 3/4 length sleeves because bare arms take away attention from faces and stripes and prints call attention to themselves.
Here's a photographer we've used. She does a lot of black and white photography and she features them in her website. You might be able to get a couple of ideas there:

i think you want to go with something in between. like light blue. white can be too stark and black can be too dramatic. but maybe that's just me?
