I'm sorry...I haven't been very active here of late, but I always know I can come back for sound advice and info.

I posted back during the summer that I thought my DD had a seizure. We (finally...another story) took her to the ped neurologist today and he'd like to do an ambulatory EEG.

Has anyone else done this on a toddler? The doc said that that families who have the most trouble are the ones who "don't plan well for it." Ok...so I'd like to plan well. How do I keep her relatively happy/comfortable and prevent her from trying to rip this thing off all weekend?

Any thoughts? BTDT experience?

TIA!

i haven't done one on a toddler, but i've had them done to me as a kid. i had one for 24hours and one for 72, but they were both inpatient. i'm gathering that you'll be at home? they gave me TONS of DVDs, video games, any junk food i could think of, etc. it would have been fun if the things weren't so darn uncomfortable. i'd get a blockbuster in-store pass for the month so you can get as many DVDs in store as you want and stock up on all the favorite foods your DD has...maybe some new toys as well so she has new stuff to do.

maybe call the hospital (or home health co.) that's setting you up with the equipment and ask for some tips?

good luck! i've wondered how you all were doing...
