You all have witnessed me not post about companies (phunkmama & cricketts) when I have been upset before, I've always tried to give them the advantage as to not to slam them and let others come to their own decision. But I have to say I am fuming now!!! ...and I know she has it in her to be a good compnay owner but what I have been thru over the past 3-4 months with her is not good customer service at all!

I bought the template for her to do Beatrix Designs it included like 15 charachters...I bought them to be used on my covers BUT of course buying them adds them to her library to offer customers (totally fine with me)...
I then proceeded and bought 4 covers (actually later added one for a friend) so I bought 5 covers.
It took FOREVER to get my covers, once I did they were absolutely the prettiest thing on Earth, the colors, the workmanship, they were perfect!!!! You probably remember the lining in them though held pee, it was a khaki color and you could see the wet spots jsut staying there and that lining never dried and it reeked after one use (the wool cover he is in now doesn't smell like pee and he has worn it off and on for two weeks). So there was an obvious problem. I took my sweet time getting them back to her, but alterted her to the problem to prevent others from going out like that.
I caught her before my firends was sent-but I think it took a good 2 months ATLEAST for hers to finally get hers, and it was after many ignored emails and phone calls to a phone that was just ringing and ringing and ringing....
To top it off she claims that cover was lost in the mail and had to re do...her post office evidently has "no idea" what happened to it.

So I send mine back...I even send a nice check to cover her time that I suspect it will take to remove the liner and to cover the postage (not asked for but I certaitnly don't want her absorbing the cost ...for some reason)...

So weeks and weeks have gone by, she said I was the only order she has (4 covers to fix!!!!!!!!!) and I still do not have my covers. I finally sent an email last week and she sent me a confirmation number (but not the method of shipment just a number) and that was last Wednesday (love it she waits till the day before a Hurricaine we've known about for a week to send it)...
So I go on all the sites to pull up this number...fed Ex, Ups and finally the post office. On the Post office site it shows that they got coorespondance to pick up this numbered package from the shipper but does not show that it was picked up.

So yesterday a week later I check again...when you call the post office it says something to the effect "we have no information on this package...check with the sender"...

So if you think "Hurricaine" can't be I've gotten 4 packages this week all at 3 days (which is usually what it takes)...so that doesn't cut it...

So I emailed her upset, seems she doesn't care IF her post office is losing her beautiful work. She told me she'd send me back my money...I don't want my money I want my packages!!!!! So Steve notices the money has been sent back!!!! I am fuming!!!! Again I don't want the money back I want the packages that I bought what 4 months ago????

Sorry long but felt I owed her the story if I was going to complain...
I think this a sh^&&y way to treat a customer who actually purchased an item for you to use in the future and not only bought for herself but introduced another customer to her as well. AND I never even heard Phunkmama mentioned here till I bought mine-

It's not fair!!!

OMG, that is awful Neve. I am sorry that happened to you. You were certainly more gracious than most and bent over backwards for her with the design template, the check, the great communication, yadda yadda yadda. I certainly hope that you give her a call and tell her how you feel again. No more Mrs. Nice guy Neve! I hope you get your covers....

Wow, it never ceases to amazing me how many WAHM's really don't take care of their business very well.
I know over at MDC she gets raves, but I've never bought from her, so I don't have any stories.
I think you should draft a letter with all your complaints in it and send to her. Maybe if she sees it on paper, it will change her business practices and get her attention.
I'm sorry this has happened, its things like this that give the WAHMs a bad rap. But I don't blame you at all for being mad, I'd be livid, because I know those covers aren't cheap!!!!
Keep us up to date on how its going.

I'm crushed becasue I know she has it in her to get raves...I loved her when I initially spoke to her. I owner if it's becasue I'm not on the "big boards" that I am obviously put on this back burner...

I don't know...I honestly might be paranoid but I really think I am the only one who has gone thru this with her. and feel like I have been nothing but gracious in this process...

I've felt like that I have not been treated like a "real customer" for some reason...as if I am a "stand by" passenger (customer)...

It is hard for me to even admit I'm mad at the situation in public here...but really something is not right...

I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one who is having trouble with Phunkymama. I placed an order for two embroidered covers, paid for them, sent an email asking questions and looking for advice, and heard nothing back from her for ages.

She said that the email virus had hit her hard and was having trouble finding real emails among all the spam. I sent a couple more emails asking questions and didn't get enough response to feel comfortable. I asked for a refund and received it almost immediately.

In addition, there was another person at Mothering.com who PM'd (private messaged) me with the same type of issue.

I hope that the problem really was the viruses, but I'm not willing to be the one to find out. The work I have seen from her really is cute and I hope you get it all worked out with her soon!

I'm so disappointed to hear that! I got the cover I ordered several months ago and it was just beautiful. It's weird that she would not take care of you, especially since you placed such a large order. Maybe you could have another WHAM make you Peter Rabbit covers since you got your money back.

Did you custom one or order from her site...
By the way still didn't get it today...so day 8 post sent!

I ordered one of the custom ones that she offers on her site (I chose the design and fabric from those she offers under the custom slots). It was the lion one. I think I ordered mine right before you originally ordered yours, because I posted about the site then. I do know she said she wasn't going to re-open for custom orders until late September because she has been busy with her kids, but so far I haven't seen her re-open.
I totally know how frustrated you must be. A similar thing happened to me one time when I ordered a calendar as a Christmas present from Amazon. After waiting 4 months while they kept telling me the calendar would be shipped as soon as they had it in stock, they sent me the wrong calendar. When I contacted them about it, they said the calendar I ordered wasn't available. After all that time, all they did was refund my money. I guess it's one of the risks of online shopping, but it sure can be a PITA!
I hope this gets worked out and you get your covers. What a mess!

What a disappointment!! You were gracious than most and willing to work with her through this. I would be mad, too. We, as customers, can certainly understand that WAHMs are moms first. But if there is any reason that an order can't be finished, we deserve to be informed promptly and I'm sure most of us will understand.

Good luck, Neve! Hope this gets resolved soon...

Neve,
I think you should consider posting reviews of Phunkymama at both the diaperpin and mothering boards. Such behavior is absolutely uncalled for - there are plenty of other WAHM's who deserve our business.

Oh, that is SO disappointing! She should refund your money for HER templates, too. I know, you just want your covers. =(

I ordered a custom blanket from her (before her covers started selling and getting raves). I had no problems, gorgeous blanket! However, I also ordered some clothing, but did not pay as she had to wait for her blanks to come in. Weeks go by, I email again, she says she has them what do I want, I tell her, never hear from her again. =( I'm lucky that I did not lose any money, but like you, I'd prefer to have the t-shirts. I'm really bummed b/c I loved the blanket I got my friend so much I was hoping to buy one for our next baby (someday).

I definitely think you should review her appropriately, though. It will save another mama from possibly losing money.

So the covers didn't arrive today either (day 9)!!!!

She did re imburse the template money...instantly...and totally not solicited by me. I swear i don't want a penny I jsut want my covers...and I want to pay for them!!!!

I emailed her again last night and said that I was suprised she seemed to show no concern that her mail pakcages, and gorgoeus hard work has been lost twice to the same customer!!!!

that she doesn't look into this makes me highly suspicious!!!

Neve,

After reading these posts and my own experience (which was not bad - read on and I will explain), I have come to the conclusion that she is a flake!! Big time.

I ordered the chicken cover and it came very quickly and I loved it... but the next week another of the exact same cover appeared in my mail box. I immediately contacted her and told her I received a duplicate cover and arranged to send it back. But she had no clue that she had sent two to me. Conclusion: she is not on top of things. Who knows where she sent those covers to...

Sorry for all your troubles. Maybe another WAHM can do you designes on their covers.

Hey Neve,

Im sure than any cuddle wahm(who has an embroidery machine like hubba bubbas and bear bumz) would make Tristan some of those bunny covers...and the charge for the desings will be included in the pricing...Check and see...HTH

since Jen claimed they had been mailed I wanted to update folks...three weeks after being shipped this package never arrived...

that combined with the package that she claims was lost to Beth has made me conclude there is something really wrong with this sender!!!!-I have never in my 36 years had one package lost in the mail. So for two to be lost by the same sender or post office is highly suspicious.

I wonder if an employee at the post office and she have a nice "insurance" scam in the works...

she would have gotten back to me if it was post office problem I would hope-

Need I say I am furious!!!

Still no response from her? I've seen her posting on other boards, so she's around.

I'm so bummed for you.

I should clarify that she did respond when I questioned as to why I did not get them yet and that the "tracking number" was not showing the package was ever picked up. She refunded my money. But no she never responded when I asked her to look into it becasue I wanted my covers and not the money!

But I wanted to make certain that I was defending her in that she did not hold my money!!!

UGHHH!!!!...
