OK, ladies, help me build my stash. I'm expecting in May and would like to be able to try a few systems at first and then buy more of whatever turns out to be my favorite. Right now I have:

3 nb Little Lambs
12 preemie twill prefolds (thought they were cpfs, but being twill I'm guessing they're Indian)
1 Kissaluvs size 0
1 Starbunz Windpro cover
1 small Firefly

Right now the LLs are definitely winning in the preference category--the Firefly is going to be too big for a newborn and the Kissaluv takes three dryer cycles to dry. I'd say the LLs were my perfect newborn system and buy a ton of them, but I'd really like microfleece that DIDN'T pill. I absolutely understand that on a $10 AIO I can't expect MM, but I'm on a mission to see what else is out there.

I'm looking for:

Quick-dry AIOs; cute prints are a huge plus
Quick-dry fitteds that will fit newborns from day 1
Newborn Windpro covers to compare to my Starbunz
Something in wool (WIO or cover that I can use with my prefolds) that will actually work for a newborn.

The trimmer the better, as far as I'm concerned; I don't typically have heavy-wetting babies so I can get away with less in that category. My old dryer can't handle much and we're in the woods with little or no sun, so quick-dry is pretty much a requirement. And small is definitely good--I'm stashing for at least one more baby if not a couple (Lord willing), so I'm going to do real sizes and not try to struggle with one-size anything. And since these need to last for more than one baby, I'm willing to pay for quality--not diaper-art, can't afford to spend $30 on a cover no matter how gorgeous, but well enough made that I don't have to re-buy in a couple of years.

Thanks in advance!

I can't think of anything that I have that dries faster than a fuzzibunz. Now granted the inserts, depending on what you use will require more time, but the FB themselves could probably be lined dried in your laundry or bathroom. They come out of my wash nearly dry. They are definately more trim than a seperate diaper and cover IMO. I do like the convenience of not having to put another cover over a squirmy baby. Kissaluvs do take around 60 minutes to dry, so I wouldn't bother with any more of those. The firefly will definately be too big and I would say in my experience so far, the sugarpea dries faster than the quick dry firefly.

I don't know how long they take to dry, but XS Sandys from motherease.com might be a good fitted...?

Check out the newborn diapers at www.fluffymail.com

Quite honestly, the first 2-3 months, all we used were infant sized cpf's, prorap covers and homemade fleece liners.

Thanks, all, good ideas for me to check out. It'll be fun to see what I end up liking!
