1. Anyone have experience with HoneyBoys??? They look so cute-- I am going to dust of the sewing machine and play nice with my mother to get help making them. Looking for feeback on the diapers.
2. Anyone have a reflux-y baby? I'm having a hard time getting a nice blend between tight covers and making the poor kiddo spit constantly just because I want to be kind to mother earth. Anyone have good tips for me???
I think you should make covers that have fold over elastic. They tend to be alot softer and bind less. Also the side snappers would be the best thing...
With HB home pattern..I love it(its 2am here so pls forgive the typos)...I really love it ..Its just like a HH thing except with the soaker inside..That is my only problem with it. But the good ppl at HB have special instructions to make it quick dry!! which is awsome...You can also use PUL and WOOL as oposed to only using fleece and have a variety of HB diapes...

Thank you-- Do you have a side snapping AIO suggestion? Do you make your own covers? I have just ordered the deluxe diaper cover pattern and my PUL to try my first ones.
So sorry you were up at 2am-- We could have had a live chat!! Gosh-- I'd even invite you in for tea at that hour. :)
Yup i suffer from insomnia!! LOL so NP...And i was up all night working in a proposal...Side snapping AIO..Yk what im going to tell you the truth i fixed up the CB pattern(it brings the AIO version as well) and actually fitted it to my baby...The only problem is i have a snap setter(considering a snap press found a great deal) and it takes me SOOOOO long to place snaps with it...Easier to sew the aplix for now(until i get the press that is)..

Here are instructions for converting the Quick Snap portion of the Diaper Covers Deluxe pattern into a quick dry, side snapping AIO:

My baby has reflux. I am not sure what you are doing now (bottle vs b/f) but you might want to try positioning/holding your baby at 45 degree angle (give or take) for about 10-15 minutes after eating. Another good position (which never worked for me b/c ds just wouldn't stay put, & it was easier just to hold him) but you can lay him on his stomach in an incline (about 30 degrees or so)for about 15 minutes after eating. I always found that if I sat ds upright after eating he would immediately spit up. My son is a little better now at 6 months hoping he will just grow out of it though. We still use positioning, cereal in formula (when he gets it/per his doctor) and medicine. Hope this helps some with the refulx issue. BTW we also use cd and havent had any problems w/ covers being tight and spitting up.
