I have lurked a bit over here and wanted to say Hi!
I use cloth diapers part of the time. I realized around my son, Jack's first birthday that disposable diapers cause him to have exzema. Yuck! Even the ped. said they were the culprit and that in his 30 years of practice he has noticed it more since disposables came out.
Anyway I have used several WAHM CDs. My favorites are the candywrappers by Lukes Drawers. A friend gave me 7 when I first started because she didn't like them. They seemed bulky at first but then I really grew to love them and like the fabrics they are in. I also have some Hippobottomus diapers that we like too.
It is really hard to compare the two, because they are so different.

Hopefully with the next baby ( and i keep telling my DH there will be another one) I will completely cloth diaper or at least 90% of the time.

I love the cute little prints on their butts!

Kim-
can you describe what the eczema looked like? My dd has a rash that just won't go away. It gets better and then comes back...over and over. I'm pretty sure that my ped is way too straight-laced to ever say that it's the diaper that's causing it. Anyway, just thought I'd ask. TIA!

Well it looks kind of like scaley rash. Maybe I can take a picture and show you. Both my boys have it, but Dylan's has decreased since potty training. He still has it but he is allergic to detergents, soaps, and everything else.
Jack though does not have those problems (one of my children is adopted so its not a family thing...lol) The Baby, Jack -- has had it bad on the back of legs bad -- well I would get it cleared up only to have it come back and then the Ped said it was the diapers. Said that with that gel they put in them it can cause rashes. Ewwwww! HE also said that using them increases your child's chances of having asthma do to something they are made with. Have any of you heard of this?
My baby is now 2 so maybe potty training is on the horizon? LOL
