If we do CD (DH is wanting to wait till we move yatta yatta yatta) I would like to use an all in one diaper or whatever is the trimmest and doesnt look like too much diaper butt. Any suggestions on which ones are best? Or if there is a better option for a not so big butt?

For trimness, I'd suggest pocket diapers stuffed with hemp inserts. That will give you the most absorbency for the thickness, and pockets dry much more quickly than an AIO. Plus, it's easier to adjust how absorbent you need the dipe to be: use more inserts overnight, fewer (for trimness) under clothes.

That's not exactly true. An Angelwraps Quick dry AIO dries very quickly as do many other AIO's. It really depends on the type of soaker. I use AIO's when I'm out and about or whenever I am just in the AIO mood! There are many people who love pockets, I can't stand them. To each their own!

Actually, I'm going to quickly hijack your thread! If anyone can list other great AIO's that use snaps I would love the links. I am banishing all aplix from my house, lol.

IME, there is no such thing as a good AIO. I've tried probably six different ones (combo of popular WAHMs and commercially made like Proraps) and all have leaked at one time or another (and it wasn't because of a fit problem). The Proraps probably worked the best for us but took forever and a day to dry.

I agree that pockets are the way to go - once you stuff them, they are used just like an AIO. And you can customize the absorbency to best meet your needs.

Kathryn,

Pockets will be the trimmest option, IMO. A Fuzzibunz with a single JB is as trim as a disposable. Or even with 2 JBs, or 2 MOE inserts - it will only be marginally bulkier than a disposable. I recently got a fleece pocket from Corey at www.doodlebottoms.com and I'm surprised at how trim is it. My guess is that the PUL will be even trimmer. In any case, with pockets, the inserts determine the bulk. I use Babyblankets stuffed with a Lizajane Baby insert for night, and it's not bulky at all.

The absolute trimmest AIOs I have are Daisy-Doodles. They are cut very narrow, and are trimmer than disposables, in some respects. Not cheap, and hard to find. I'm still trying to force myself to let them go - they aren't working for us. But they are so cute! :)

I have a few AIOS by Little Lambs, and we like them very much. They're not especially trim, but they're trimmer than our Kissaluvs and SugarPeas with covers. I like them a lot. They come in both front- and side-snap styles.

In case you want to check them out, it's www.-cutest-cloth-diapers.com

I've tried a lot of AIOs and I've found that only the ones with PUL outers are reliable for us.

I LOVE the Fluffymail.com FCB AIOs but they are hard to get. They are closed now due to a long customs list. These are the best, IMO.

I just received some Very Baby AIOs that are really nice, too.

The correct URL is

I love the Little Lambs, too!

Jude - Have you tried the LL fitteds, or just the AIOs? I really liked the fitteds, too, and regret selling them. Definitely prefer them to the Kissaluvs.

Full Moon Baby Gear AIOs are very trim. And very nice fabrics too.

Angel Wraps Quick Dry AIO are trim as well, but I save them for when I know I can change her as soon as she pees because they wick for me if I don't. (the fleece legs are very comfy though)

I agree about pockets. Fuzzibunz with one insert or one microfiber towel (very cheap!) are as trim as can be.

But then, a prefold is trim too.

Hey Angie, sorry no help on the AIO front. I'm assuming that the little rascal is undoing all of the aplix? ;-) Anyway, to further pull this thread off topic, I just looked at your new pictures of your DD. She's just darling and the blue diaper is very cute. :) What is stitched on the back of her diaper?

I've been considering getting DH a few AIO's because he is continuously putting DS in sposies. Anyway, these were mentioned recently on MDC http://verybaby.com/products.htm I haven't tried them yet but am thinking about it.
