If anyone has wondered where I've been, I somehwhat shamefully admit to using Pampers lately...and enjoying it :) I do not enjoy the papery feel to them, but I have loved just tossing the nasty poop and not feeling like I was cleaning out the pigs stall when spraying it off my cloth diapers. I have loved not chanhing him every 1.5 hrs, and best of all--there are so many clothing options to fit over slender sposies!

Sorry gang, I just couldn't do it anymore, and I was afraid to admit it :( But now here's the bad thing...my poor sweetie Joshua has a rash everywhere the diaper is binding him! On his sides where it wraps around, in the creases of his thighs, on the waist. I feel just terrible about that. Sigh. I guess the diaper vacation is over.

I just ordered a new wool SugarPeas cover to help get me back in the mood for cloth. Let's hope this child potty-trains soon. I am soooo done with diapers!

Amy,
I was wondering what happened to you mama! Sorry about the rash :( I understand the "vacation" though! I had a tough time coming back after being gone for THanksgiving and now find that I am lazier about using CDs when I take C out and about but eventually got back into the swing of things at home and for short trips!

I was hoping C would PT before Miss purple arrives but aint gonna happen :( Joshua is older so hopefully you'll have better luck than me!!!

Amy! I've missed seeing you around. I was wondering where you'd taken off to!

I admit to using sposies sometimes when we're out, or other time when I'm just too lazy to fold the diaper laundry! Nothing to feel guilty about at all. I am sure you must be frustrated trying to get him to potty train, I'm not looking forward to it myself!

Let us know what we can do to get you excited about cloth again! I know I love to spend other peoples money! ;)

Hope to see you here more often mama!
Hugs,

Yikes I can totally understand. Brig is on a laxative as if toddler poo wasn't yucky enough. I'm not so coordinated with the minishower either.
Hopefully the wool cover helps you get back into the swing...:)

Amy, we've missed you around here! But I totally understand about having to clean up the nasty poop and having to change so often! We just went through a stomach virus around here and it was pretty nasty, especially when I was sick too!

Welcome back--hopefully the sugar peas will be enough to get you back in the mood. :) Hugs and I hope Josh feels better soon!

it's ok!!! we have to use sposies at night because i can hardly even make them work. i am over the guilt. i am going to buy more crusisers today (for school and overnight) because the luvs are leaking like mad and i am sick of it. (and every CD has been leaking at night like mad, too...)

but we are hitting potty training hard over here. not because i can't stand the dipes. but because i can't stand the leaks from my firehose pee-er.

Thanks for the encouragement once again ladies! I just can't seem to stay on the wagon anymore. Off and on I go! :)

Hugs, Amy!
I hate that you feel that you need to apologize for anything! No guilt is necessary for doing something that improves the quality of your life.

I hope Joshua potty trains soon!

Don't feel bad, Amy! I'm sure that many of us (myself included) take a CD vacation now and then. I'm thinking about switching back to sposies at night because I'm having a hard time finding a CD combination that doesn't leak. I have one Angelwraps fleece AIO that is awesome for overnight, but it is hard to justify the cost of more since DD is starting to potty train.

DD sometimes gets a rash on her waist from sposies, too. I've found that a light coat of A&D (the yellow stinky kind) works well for preventing it. Hope Josh is feeling better soon!

I thought you had abandoned us for MDC. ;)

I hope the SP cover is magic for you and Joshua's rash clears up quickly. Strange question--is his poop predictable? If so, could you use sposies for those times?

I have wondered where you have been! :) No worries, it sounds like you have been enjoying the cloth vacation!

Good luck with the PL...and hang around here more often! You can tell us anything! LOL

Amy,

Don't feel bad. Nate's been in 'sposies (the Albertson's house brand) for much of this pregnancy. At first because I was too tired to do CD laundry on top of everything else and then lately because I've been on bedrest and couldn't ask my husband to do diaper laundry too.

I have been buying stuff for baby #2, so I hope to get back into it for both babies.

I've also been on a CD vacation. We just had DS's baptism on Sunday, so I was running around like mad most of last week getting everything ready and the last thing I wanted to do was ANOTHER load of diaper laundry.

On top of that, all our covers seem to be leaking lately. I don't know what it is up! I threw a Bumpy Day in the trash I was so fed up (it was wicking horribly). I took DS to the grocery store in a fleece cover (changed him right before we left) and he came home with wet pants. Ugh.

Maybe I'll get back on the wagon this week. Maybe we need some new covers...

If you have to use disposables, why not try one of the natural brands? They might not cause that reaction b/c they won't have all of those chemicals in them. You will probably have to change more often than pampers, but those things get treated like a porta-potty sometimes.
