I am so glad that I read on this board the recommendation for White Cloud diapers (available at Walmart, $15/104 in size 3). I have been having real diaper problems with my DD. She is allergic to something in Pampers and breaks out in a rash all over her bottom and front. I think it may be the fragrance, who knows. For a while we were happy enough with the Huggies, but now they have started leaking nearly every night. Unhappy, damp baby. :(

Well, I picked up a small pack of the White Cloud just to try and they seem to fit her very well, are nicely made, don't get chunky or icky when wet, and haven't leaked through the night!! I am excited!

We also have had good luck with the Walgreens brand of Supreme diapers. I think they are on sale this week if anyone wants to try them. On sale they're a good deal, but I love not having to look for sales or coupons on the White Cloud.

Wow that price is great. I'm so hesitant to try different diapers though. We use Pampers on DD and not 1 problem with them. Before that we tried Huggies, Target brand and LUVS and they all leaked on her. What brand we you using before switching to White Clouds?

I was using Huggies - they leaked and Pampers gave DD a rash all over her front and bottom, looked like an allergic reaction, not a diaper rash. I continue to be impressed with the White Cloud. She can wear them for 12-13 hours at night and not leak or get irritated!

Do they leave 'gel pills' like Huggies if they are really wet? My Costco finally quit selling Pampers Cruisers so I'm looking for a new diaper. I hate Huggies/Kirkland Signature and would like to save some money. Are they as soft as Pampers? Is the outer cover cloth-like?

Thanks for the info,
Kathy

I have not seen any gel pills in the diaper. I tried a sample of the Kirkland Signature and I didn't like it because the "filling" seemed to turn into big clumps inside when wet, which the White Cloud do not.

They are definitely not as soft as the Pampers Swaddlers (what is?). But I'm looking at it side-by-side with a Pampers Cruisers right now and I'd say the covers are similar in texture. I wouldn't really describe the Pampers Cruisers or the White Cloud as very cloth-like. They both have a papery (not plasticky) soft feel to them. On the White Cloud the whole side of the diaper is not sretchy as in the Cruisers, but the tabs are stretchy and I haven't managed the break any off yet (which I have with Huggies). Also the back and front waist of the White Cloud has a little elastic stretch to it.

If you want to try them and don't want to spring for the big box, they also come in a 40 pack (size 3) for I think about $6-7. :)

Thank you for all of the info! I agree with your description of the "papery soft feel" of the outer cover. I was at a loss for words when I wrote the email. I will definitely give them a try.

Thanks again for your help!

Where have these been my last 3 years of diapering? I have had such problems with sposies. I have tried all kinds of diapers -- all of which gave DD horrible diaper rash -- Pampers, Luvs, CVS brand, fleece lined CD's. These, Huggies, and regular cloth diapers are the only things that don't break her out. The only problem now is, she's just barely fitting into the size 6. Boo hoo! I finally found a cheap alternative and she's too big. They don't happen to make training pants that are bigger, do they?
Oh well, at least I know what to try with the newborn coming in March.
