Need recommendation for a diaper bag!

My friend is having twins in December and I told her I'd make it my mission for the next six months to find her a diaper bag that is durable, practical and big enough to hold all the supplies for two without being too big. I know they can be expensive, and I'm okay with spending around $100, but I don't want to go too much over that. Any suggestions?

Try the Kathy Van Zeeland Tote bag ... I did a review of it on this Board yesterday, or the day before ... the days are running into each other! It's $50 at BRU, and it's 16"L, 7"d, 13"H -- perfect for twins, totally organized, cute and stylish, and extrememly durable! Don't go by the picture on BRU -- it's not a good picture. See it for yourself at your local babies r us! She will thank you ... believe me! I own seven diaper bags, and have tried and returned lots of others!

Thanks- I sent some links to bags that were suggested to me and my friend said she was kind of interested in a backpack style diaper bag because it will allow her to have both hands free- any ideas? I think REI had some on their site.

This is not a backpack style but it can be worn messenger which I think is even better if you have limited access with your hands full because you don't have to take it all the way off to get into it. I saw it in person and like it better than in the pics. I think it is definentaly worth checking out. I have the Fleurville A7, Mothership, Abenbag and Lands end Backpack and I am thinking of getting this one. That is how much I liked it.

I have 21 month old twins and I just got a new diaper bag to hold everything - Colorado Backpack by Catini (sold at Babies R Us). What I love about it: 1. It's a backpack! 2. Unisex color for Dh to carry. 3. It has a huge section for clothes that is seperate from diapers. 4. It has tons of pockets to put stuff in - without getting lost at the bottom of the bag (when you have twins you don't have time to dig around for that little bottle of tylenol). 5. It has pockets for grown-up stuff (ID, credit cards, etc.). 6. You can fully open it up and see everything (the reason why I got a new bag - I actually left the house the other day with only ONE diaper for TWO babies because I couldn't see in the old bag - a bottomless pit type). 7. The price - only $39 at babiesrus.com! You can afford to actually put stuff in the bag! I think this bag is GREAT for twins. Note: A smaller tote is also availble, and you may consider getting it in ADDITION to the backpack. It's sometimes nice to have a smaller bag. And the price is right.
