My DS will be 17 months old and I still give him the Earth Best infant cereal(oatmeal, mixed grain etc) for breakfast every morning.
I was just wondering when you transitioned your child to the adult type cereal(i.e. Quaker oats). I'm not sure if he's still getting the full nutrients from those infant cereals.
I appreciate your input.

We transitioned from Earth's Best to Quaker somewhere around 12-13 months I think. It was about the time we moved to whole milk. I never compared the nutrition information but DD was/is a great eater so I didn't worry about it.

I'm sure he would be fine with Quaker Oats, but the Earth's Best is probably great for making sure he gets enough iron, etc. I wish my son was willing to eat the Earth's Best that long for the iron alone.

Yes, my DS still loves his Earth's Best cereals. I just mixed it with unsweetened apple sauce.
Thanks for all the input!

I switched my DD to Quaker instant at about 10 or 11 months but in comparison, her best friend is still eating Earths Best and he is now almost 3. He loves it so they never switched.
Now my two are hooked on the sugary Quaker stuff. Wondering if I should have stuck with the Earths Best. Ohwell!

i didnt know we were suppose to switch. we're still giving to dd 2-3 times a week with unsweetened apple sauce. 3 days she eats at daycare, the other days at home we do TJ's french toast or whole grain or flax seed waffles.
