I might have to use this code. I got a few Acme bags and a Chicco bag to try in December with the BYOB pledge and I am loving them so I want to get more.

I carry a small purse, but I can still fit all three bags in there. Because they're always with me, I use them so much more often than the big grocery bags I keep in the car.

Which do you like better, the Chico or Acme?

Did you see the cute way to recycle old t-shirts into bags in this month's Martha? It would be a cheap way to get more shopping bags especially if you have a bunch of old t-shirts you don't know what to do with.

It's a tough call. The Acme folds up a little smaller and it's rip-stop nylon which is extremely tough.

The Chicco has bigger handles that you can sling over your shoulder if needed. It has a clip, so you could clip it to something if you wanted, though I dont think I'll use it much. The Chicco comes in more colors. The Chicco's drawstring makes it a little bigger when folded.

For me, the perfect bag would be one that folds up like the Acme, has handles like the Chicco, is made of rip-stop like the Acme, and comes in colors like the Chicco.

As it is, I'll probably order a few of each, perhaps keep a chicco in each diaper bag because they're a little more handy to use as general tote-it-all bags and keep a few acmes in my purse and in jacket pockets because they're a little smaller.

I've had 2 of my Acmes tear along the seam. I bought a Reisenthaler (sp?) Mini-Maxi at The Container Store, and the fabric seems to be much sturdier. It folds up pretty small, but the bag to hold it isn't connected. I think I will be buying more of those than the Acmes.

I have two of those bags, and I absolutely LOVE them! I can't go to Costco or Target without them. They are also good for holding all my little Acme bags in the trunk of my car. They do hold a lot, and are strong even if they don't appear to be. The fabric reminds me of the "pillowcases" on airline pillows. The elastic broke on one of mine after a couple of uses, but I was able to get it replaced without any problems. You won't regret getting one of these!
