View Full Version : Britax Marathon: buckle pad necessary?

We have 3 Britax Marathon car seats and have issues with the buckle pads getting in the way in all three. The seats are in upright position for a 3 1/2 year old and when he climbs into the seat or is placed in the seat the buckle and pad always manage to get wedged under him. Then it is an ordeal to fish them out. I'm thinking the buckle alone won't be such an issue.

Any experience with this?
Is it manadatory that the buckle pad be used. I'm thinking it is there for comfort.

I'd love to hear your feedback on this.

Great news! Dad just lost ours (it was always loose) and they're $$$!!! to replace.

I actually use the belly pad to fish out the buckle on my dc's seat. It's starting to tear but has a great purpose imo.

DS can't stand it so we haven't used it for years.
