I love a plain watch, and this one http://www.timex.com/gp/product/B0000TIIPA/sr=1-33/qid=1210130943/ref=sr_1_33/103-2616393-8010204?ie=UTF8&m=A1S5XB33AHYRMX&n=238506011&timexBrand=core
from Target has held up well for SO long (8 years). The Indiglo stopped working about a year ago, so I pointed out another one from the Timex website (the one w/Swarovski crystals) and may be getting that one for Mother's Day.
Right now, nothing. But that is because I need a new band. I normally wear a men's Tiffany Portfolio watch. Nothing fancy, but it works well. :)

Timex Ironman. It's both analog and digital. the digital display shows time, date, stop watch and lap counter, timer. And it has a nightlight. I got it for running but it's my everyday watch and I love it.

I adore my citizen watch. The battery died about 5 years ago. I ought to get a new one. LOL. I just use my cell phone, now. But I miss my watch. Yes, I'm that disorganized and/or lazy.

I have an old, plain ESQ that I got as a gift in high school (back in late 80's/early 90's) - I remember thinking, "Who'd pay $500 for a stupid plain ol' watch?!?!?!" (at the time I was into Swatch and Fossil) but it's been my mainstay since I became an "adult" and has lasted this long - almost 20 years!

Women's Swiss Army with a pink mother-of-pearl face. It makes me happy. :) I mainly got it for the pink face and because it has a date thingy on it, which is not always easy to find!
ETA: The other thing I was looking for when I got this watch was a "sapphire crystal" face. My old watch was so scratched up.

Timex Expedition. On my third one or so, but I'm pretty rough on them. (They've also each lasted at least a couple of batteries worth, and often a band or two...)
I'd manage to beat up anything nicer even faster, so....

I recently replaced my Fossil (with Indiglo - yay!) with a Tag I can wear in the pool because I swim a lot now. I kind of like having the date on my watch, too.

I have a Citizen watch that I really like a lot. I had a Seiko before my Citizen and it was nice, but not nearly as good quality. It was gold and the gold coating started wearing off where the watch would rub against things.

I've worn a Tissot (the same company that makes Omega, I'm told) for 5+ years. Not one scratch on the crystal and just a couple battery changes. It's water resistant, looks good with casual and business clothes. I'm very happy with it.

I alternate between an Anne Klein (two tone...goes with everything) and a Bulova that has a band with floating crystals (looks bracelet like so this is more my "wear to work" watch).

I have 2 favorites. I have a NikeID watch that I wear every day! Love it! I also really like the Swiss Army watches. I have had 2 of them and they are great as well.

me too! I actually use the time function at work. If I tell someone I'll be back in 10 minutes then I set it, otherwise I forget ;) And the stop watch counter at the gym. Love this watch, although the indiglo died and I should probably get a new one since I work 3-11 a lot and it's hard to see when the rooms are dark

Swiss Army classic women's officers watch purchased from Overstock for $96.29. This is an incredible deal. I've paid retail for it in the past, and I think I spent $250. Now it retails for $295. In the photo, it looks like it has a black bezel, but the whole watch is stainless steel--no black on it other than the numbers and hands.

It comes with a stainless and black band. You can buy all colors of bands and they just click in and out of the watch.

What's a watch?!?! I had a nice watch from Brighton that I loved b/c it had that bracelet look to it. It broke, so now it's nothing but my cell phone. If I don't have my cell, I just try to judge by the sun and my shadow (just kidding!)

A cheapo plastic Timex that I got 9 years ago and refuses to die. Because my $500 Movado doesn't keep good time any more, and would cost $300 to fix.

I have a Citizen Ecodrive (doesn't need a battery) that I love but the band is a bit scratchy when I have to pick up DD so I am wearing a Timex Expedition until I don't have to carry DD as much.
I also have a Timex Ironman that I wear jogging or biking.
Um, I have both a Rolex and a Swatch.. but please don't tell DH that I prefer my Swatch (wearing it happily right now) :).

Me too.
My actual watch needs a simple repair, but I have not gotten around to it and it ticks away in my desk drawer. It is one with a thick black leather band and a square face surrounded by crystals. It is Fossil and I got it for Mother's Day like 3 or 4 years ago I think.

I don't wear a watch. I go based on my car clock and home clock and then everywhere else I operate on "toddler time."

My DH got me a Cartier tank watch for Christmas back in 1999.
I wear it everyday. I love it.
(My DH went through my files and found my jewelry folder.
I have a picture of Jackie O. wearing a Cartier tank watch.
I loved the watch she was wearing. My husband took the
picture to Cartier. He bought the watch and had it engraved
with my initials and the year.)

Same here. I wear a Swatch I got on sale for $25 while the Swiss Army sits broken in my jewelry box. I have sworn I will never own an expensive watch again. Or at least not pay a lot of money for it!

belair lady diver seapearl. i wear the one with the two tone band and bezel and white face, but there is one with a blue face and an all gold band/bezel combo too, iirc. it's an analog face with date dial. they are practically indestructible and yes, i do dive with it in addition to wearing it everyday including showering and the pool, so i mean really indestructible. i'm about 3 years into my second one (my first is 10 years old and i finally retired it when the second hand was no longer reliable - but it still works/looks almost new.

My cell phone, or my computer. When I'm traveling I wear an Anne Klein with a purple face and a rigid metal bracelet, because things that actually touch my wrist all over all the time give me hives. Usually figuratively. Sometimes literally.

Whatever cheap expansion watch I got at overstock last time I needed one. Currently it's a goldtone Timex Carriage that I paid $18 for. I like the stretchy bracelet band because it doesn't fall off or have a clasp that can scratch kids or get caught on their clothing. The time the battery wears out (this one is going on 2-3 years), is about when the goldtone starts coming off, and for $18, no complaints.

I wear an Ebel Beluga
http://www.thetimezone.com/Ebel/1215316.html
My husband is to watches what Carrie Brdshaw is to shoes. He has a collection of about a dozen high-end watches. When we started dating I was wearing a (perfectly nice) Citizen. After we got engaged, he decided I needed a nicer watch, so he got me the Ebel.

I have to say that I love my watch. It is a Bulova and the only time I take it off is in the shower. Good for dressy or casual/work.

I received this Seiko for Christmas (I knew I wanted two-tone with a rectangular face but didn't narrow it down more than that):
http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/jewelry/womenswatches/seiko1/PRD~110392/Seiko+TwoTone+Rectangular+Watch.jsp
It's a little smaller than I was hoping for, but I still like it :)
It replaced a 10 year old Citizen that was really starting to show some wear but still functioned fine.

i go through phases: currently, i wear my husband's older two-toned Rolex; i also have my own women's mother of pearl (time perpetual?? it was my wedding gift) Rolex... but I really like big watches lately. I tried to find some sporty rubbery looking ones but I have insanely tiny wrists and none of them fit.
For a lower price range though, I've always loved DKNY or Guess? watches for women... they look expensive but are very affordable. And now that I have the date on my watch, I can't imagine not having it! :P
But a cell phone works just fine for me too :)

Skagen. I have never liked watches (except for my Mickey watch when I was a kid :)). But I have a couple of Skagen mesh band watches, and they are so light and comfortable. They're pretty too. Nordy's has a good selection.

Omega Constellation chronometer (automatic and sometimes a pain in the butt cuz it'll die if I don't wear it at least every other day) and a plain stainless steel Skagen. The Skagen surprisingly gets a ton of unsolicited compliments. I have admittedly bad taste so I'm clueless as to why b/c the Omega looks tons better to me than the Skagen (DW picked it out). I just like it cuz it's so thin and light.
One day I'll own a Patek or an A. Lahnge & Sohne, but I bet that Skagen will still get more compliments than those watches.

I wear a Movado. My father gave DH and I matching watches when we were married. I used to only wear it only occasionaly. But my last watch was a Fossil and so heavy. I discovered I don't care for chunky or link watches. I ditched it and just started wearing the Movado everyday. I love it and find it very comfortable. http://tinyurl.com/57oogs

I have a Roadster too. I love the fact that I can switch the bands. Mine came with a black fabric band, and that's the band I use for dressier occasions. I love this watch. I also have a stainless steel Rolex that my DH gave me as a wedding present. I love it, but prefer the Roadster b/c it is not automatic.

So, Carmen you have the ladies version? I believe that is the only one that is not automatic. I am wondering if it would be too small on my wrist, I like big watches. I actually just bid on this on ebay and won, then found out they had removed 4 links that they did not any longer have and did not complete the transaction.

I have a Patek Philippe 24 as my everyday but I love DH's Panerai. It's really big and he has the rubber band on it so it looks really cool.
