I noticed at the grocery store today that they've done it again! Why do the ice cream companies keep reducing the size of the containers on us? Ok, I know why, but I don't like it! If only they'd reduce the price as well, but clearly this is not going to happen. And they're sneaky - they change the product packaging to try to distract us from the fact that the carton is smaller. Grrrrr! Annoying.
That is all. I am now off to enjoy a smaller bowl of Cookies N Cream.

One of these days, they will try to convince us a pint has 12 servings. Yeah, right.

It is confusing for recipes that call for a half gallon of ice cream (some easy dessert recipes I was looking at last week). Is stood there looking at all the 1.75 quart packages and wondering if that would work just as well.

Green Mountain Coffee has just done the same thing with their K-Cups.
They raised the price by about a dollar and took one cup out of the box of 25.
So, for $11.50 we get 24 cups instead of 25 for $10.50-- How is this serving us better?

The mini-pizzas I used to love from Costco have been reduced in size by almost half. And the price went up. And I do not like them as much. I would say the box is about the same size - just half full of air!
My shampoo was rebottled and they changed the shape of the bottle - and the size! Sneaky. Not only do I pay more for less but I can hardly open the new bottle. So I pour the new bottle into the old one.

All very good reasons to start buying the gallon size containers of ice cream at the grocery store like my parents did. Besides-you can use the plastic container afterwards for storage.

I KNOW! I bought some the other day and the gallon is no longer a gallon, and it was more expensive. Do they think we won't notice? What a rip off, I was very upset about that!
