We are taking our first trip as a family of four...yeah! :) We will have a 3yo and 8wk old and will be travelling via plane and car to get to the Cape.

Should I take my new Baby Jogger City Mini Double or single Pliko P3 and a carrier/sling? Do I need a stroller bag if I gate check my Baby Jogger?

If we take the double stroller, would it be helpful to have a lightweight single there too (we will be staying with family so I'm debating whether to have a Mac Volo shipped to my mom in advance--my 3yo still needs a stroller--she is a wanderer! i can imagine some instances where we'll want her in a stroller but i'll be slinging the baby--sometimes she prefers a sling, sometimes a stroller). We will not be close to a BRU or Target, so I can't just run out and buy new gear if I decide I need it while we're there.

TIA!!

Where on the Cape will you be? Some of the bike shops also rent jogging strollers... We vacation in Wellfleet, and IIRC, one of the bike shops had jogging strollers for day or weekly rental.
Just a thought!
I would vote for the jogger since it could give you more flexibility as far as terrain - if you choose to go to any of the National Seashore beaches or do any of the walks/hikes that are available, the jogger will be a good thing to have. :)
Have a great trip!

I never thought of bike shops! I will be at New Seabury, closer to Falmouth. I guess I'll definitely take the double. I think you're right...the jogger would be ideal for walks, which I'm sure we'll do a lot of. I'm tempted to also bring our Mac Triumph and then just leave it at my parents for future use...I still seem to reach for my P3 whenever I need a single stroller at home. :) Now I just need to decide whether I need a stroller bag for the jogger...thanks!!
