True Fit or Marathon?

To those who have seen or used BOTH seats, which one would you choose and why??

I have a RA that I need to replace b/c of expiration dates. I tried a TF and decided that I wanted an MA. Nothing wrong with the TF. I just have a thing for Britax seats. The little extras like the velcro tabs (which anyone handy could add on!) and the belly pad are just nice. I also know how well Britax seats hold up but I don't have a track record for the TF.

I really like both seats. I love my Britax seats. But for the price the TF is a great choice. I agree with pp on the tabs. I love those. And use all the time. Rear facing teether is another great feature for Britax.

YOu know what I remembered? We had a bear of a time getting it installed in our Civic. We install using our seat belt and the belt path was just the wrong angle. I never really understood the advice to make sure it fits in your car. We were able to get it in but it wasn't as easy as our Britax.

Check them out in your car for sure.

I'm trying to decide between these 2 seats (at least these are the 2 I'm considering TODAY) for Parker. He's already 15 lbs and 26 inches! HE'S ONLY 3.5 MONTHS OLD!!! He also HATES his safeseat. So I'm looking to get a convertible, probably closer to Feb (9-10 months old).

I've seen both in real life, but haven't tried them in my car, or my Mom's truck. I like the PRICE better on the True Fit. But I like the idea of the rear facing tether of the Britax. I need to buy 2 of the same seat, then another seat for occassional babysitter use only (probably a Scenera or something similar).

Also, Parker is very hot natured, so any ideas on patterns/covers that are more breathable would be great. I have the SS1 that has a slightly shiny cover, and doesn't breathe very well...which is why I think Parker hates his SS1...

We have both the Boulevard and the True Fit and really like them both. We use the BV as our main seat so I have more experience with it. I do like the RF tether on the BV. I also like the removable headrest on the TF. Each has it's benefits. The are both very good seats.

As far as the cover fabric...we also have a SS1 with a sorta shiny fabric and it makes DS sweat every time he's in it. Both the BV and the TF have velour fabrics, which I find are MUCH cooler for him. Defnitely look for a velour-type fabric over a shiny one.
