Is it warm enough for a MN winter? It seems so light, but my DD tends to run warm. It's rated for -10 to 15 F, and she'll wear bibs or snowpants if she's playing in the snow or if it is especially cold.
Oh, and do you think this Cove Blue color http://tinyurl.com/62d6dd is gender neutral enough to pass on to DS?
TIA!

I think it will be fine warmth wise.
Based on how dirty ds's orange LE Squall got I woul look for a darker color if you can steer her towards one. I have washed mine lots but nothing can save it.

I'd go for the squall parka depending on the size you're looking for. If you're out of the toddler sizes the waist can cinch so it's warmer and covers her rear end. We've used them for the past few years and liked it.
My neighbor's DS has the sport squall and wished she would have had the parka instead just because of the waist.

Thanks! I think I'll bring her in to Sears (assuming they have the full range of outerwear now) and have her try on the different styles to decide for sure.

We had one, and it was fine for our cold snowy Iowa winters. I got it super cheap, and probably would choose the squall parka if I was buying full price. for the longer coverage, as a pp stated. Great quality, though, they hold up.
I have last year's version for DD, in green and gray. I'm hoping that I can pass it on to DS2, but Beth makes a good point. DS1's jackets have all been red in the past and his LE jackets are pretty dingy-dirty, even with lots of runs through the wash.
