Has anyone purchased the seconds blocks from Barclay?

They're great. They just have more obvious grain than the firsts, as far as I can tell. I recommend them highly.

I had the same experience. More grain, but they look fantastic.

I was disappointed in my seconds. I expected very slight discoloration, but I received many blocks that had quite a bit of discoloration and some of the blocks were completely dark brown. I was a bit peeved because the photos of the seconds don't show blocks that were as dark and discolored as some of the ones I received. Fortunately, the ones that were completely dark brown were small. I am about to order additional blocks from them to supplement my initial kit, and I am going to order firsts this time.
