Which hand cream works well? My hands are already dry and bleeding and it's only November!
Thanks!

The Shea Butter Hand Cream. It's a little pricey, $25, but a little dab goes a long way, making the tube last at least all winter. Their bee and bear shaped soaps are perfect for gifts. Smells like honey!

You can also try the Hemp Hand Protector in the silver tube from The Body Shop...its amazing for super dry skin. They have 30% off of it this weekend (just checked my email). People swear by the stuff...guys with the dryest, crackingest hands I have ever seen have been "healed" by hemp!
As for L'Occitane I love their solid perfumes. I just bought some of their Verbena "extra gentle" soap with Shea Butter and it murdered my hands!! I am going to take the other two bars I bought back and get some shea butter soap and almond oil hand cream at The Body Shop to fix them.

Is this going on in stores as well? I hate to pay shipping if I don't have too. I swear by the foot cream - also $25, but I put it on every night and my feet are baby soft. My MIL gives me a GC for Xmas and Bday. I've been holding on to them, but I'm out of both right now.

Hi -
Just did some early holiday shopping for me... I love their products!!! Make sure you go through Ebates for 4% cash back. I found a link on Ebates that gives free shipping for purchases over $25.
Hope that helps someone!!

Did you have to do anything special to get the free shipping? I clicked on the Ebates link, but the free shipping isn't showing up on my checkout page.

I didn't do anything special, just clicked through the link on Ebates. My products totalled $83 after the Friends and Family discount (over $100 before the discount), so I don't know if that had anything to do with it? Standard shipping just came up as free for me - I assumed it was due to the Ebates link.
I really hope you can get it to work!!
Good luck,
Cleo

It was probably b/c you were over $100. I think the home page said all orders over $100 ship for free. Oh well, maybe I'll try to get to the store tomorrow.
Thanks!

Yes, I think that's exactly right. That's a bummer because I can't stomach the $10 shipping charge.

I really wanted this shea hand cream set http://usa.loccitane.com/FO/Catalog/Product.aspx?prod=978464 but it's sold out :32: . All the other sets that include shea hand cream, my favorite L'Occitane product, do not make sense on a per oz basis (yes, I've done the calculation) especially if I have to pay shipping. Guess I'll have to wait until next time I can shop L'Occitane duty free and squize the last bits from the tube that I bought during last year's F&F sale. With Euro down to a more reasonable levels, it's close to F&F prices or better.
Their hair conditioner is also nice but not worth the $10 shipping IMHO. Still have shea foot and body cream from the set bought last year so am not interested in re-buying those. I've discovered a better, medical foot cream via my nail salon.

As far as the hand cream you can get pure shea butter for half the price at stores like Whole Foods. My husband just bought pure shea butter and pure cocoa butter (for the stretchie marks, as he calls them)...he paid half the price I pay at The Body Shop for Shea and Cocoa and those have crap added to them.

I ordered this one for $50 and thought it made sense pricewise. ETA the $50 is before the FF discount.
5.2 oz hand shea, 5.2 oz foot shea, and it looks like a 1 oz hand shea..but it's hard to tell from the pict.
In fact it's cheaper per oz. The only thing I gather is the foot cream is 15% shea vs 20% for the hand cream.

Thanks for posting this! I stocked up on the Shea Butter Hand Cream since it NEVER goes on sale.
In store, they had sample giveaways for a $15 purchase. At $100, they gave me a little set that had lavender hand cream, verbena cooling hand cream, and mini soap (value supposedly $24).

The hand cream everyone is talking about isn't the pure shea, it's a very different product. Super rich and creamy with a distinctive scent and people are gaga for it. It is, by far, the absolute best seller at L'O, worldwide. They also carry 100% pure Shea Butter (organic, no crap added ; ) though it is refined, which some purists don't like) and I actually prefer that to the hand cream.

Hahaha I know...someone said L'Occitane was out of it so I was just suggesting an alternative.
Also, someone before mentioned their hands are so dry they are cracking and bleeding. Its not smart to put fragrance on already broken skin. :)
