When do you stop inviting playdate or mommy group friends to a child's b-day party?
In the last two years it seems like we've been invited to a few parties just because we get along with the parents. Last year I extended the invite to these parents/kids for her second birthday to reciprocate as I thought it was awfully nice that we were included to their kids' parties** Since I work we don't see many of the kids except at big family events so if I was to tell Elisa she is going to kid A's*** birthday this weekend (which we are) I wouldn't be suprised if she doesn't remember who kid A is once we get to the party.
This year I am inclined to start inviting her friends from daycare (which I didn't do last year) because she talks about them a lot! I still plan on inviting two other little girls from playdates that she knows and can remember their names, but would it be rude to not invite the others if we are invited to their kids' party this year?
**each of the parties in question had more than 20 kids at it!
***kid A might continue to the one exception to keep inviting because he and Elisa are the same age and might eventually end up at the same school; the rest of the kids are a year older
