I just read somewhere it is possible a male lead character is killed off next week. Anyone want to guess who?
My guesses are Joey or Albie.

My guess is Albie but just after they get that letter back from the church using the secret elevators he was talking to Nicki about...

Hmm...I wonder if it is going to be Hollis Green, Joey, Don or Alby. This show has really picked up. I kind of feel bad for Nicki.

I would miss Albie. He is delightfully weird, in a psychopathic kind of way. I originally hated him, but then I started enjoying him. I just love to listen to him speak.
I would miss Roman too, but I doubt it is Roman, because it is being talked about as a shocking death, and really, Roman dying wouldn't be that shocking. He looks half dead already.

Would Selma count as male?

I was sooo hoping someone would start this thread today!! I'm with deborahr- I love Albee. He is so mesmerizingly strange. Last night just left my jaw dropping open. I almost can't believe Bill would be unsealed from Nikki. I'm sure he'll change his mind- dont' you think?
oh and I'm dying to know if that ceremony that Barb and her mom and sister took place in were authentic to the Mormon church. I was so enthralled by that and am intrigued to know the meaning behind that. Not in a bad way, just would like to learn more, ykwim?
I can't see Joey dying. He's just not that important enough. But I can't see Albee dying either because I think he's too important. There are a lot of opportunities for plot twists for his character. Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing Barb's BIL, Ned, disappear. Right after his daughter is returned.

Ben hasn't been doing much lately. He could either get killed (by the Greens) or he could knock off Sarah's on again squeeze.
Don's been a bit worthless too.
This show was always good but got AMAZING this season.

I was absolutely "enthralled" as well!!!!!! I would have loved to have seen more. For an atheist, I am abnormally obsessed with religious ritual. I love it. I find it fascinating and almost did a double major in Religion in college.

You must have missed the talk where Albee is bragging to Nikki while she is living at the big house that when he sold a few of those historic letters suddenly he started to be taken very seriously by the head church execs. Good scene. Albee is so creepy in a slithery kind of way.
Maybe Bill's evil, cruel father will die. Is that too much to wish for?

The whole Alby letter thing made me think that they're making his character kind of like this guy, Mark Hofmann (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Hofmann) who was a forger who, to cover his tracks, had to murder (with bombs) two people--he was LDS and the docs he was forging related to the church (among other things). Anyway, just the way he was talking to Nicky made think of this which I think I watched something about on tv once.
As for who might get killed? Don, maybe? or the BIL? Or Sarah's ex, because he's already on another tv show anyway, Breaking Bad.
And, why do the seasons have to be so short?!!!
ETA: BTW, I think the Alby thing would definitely be something to play out over the next season, not the finale.

I just can't believe the season is going to be over! Any rumors on when the next season will start?

Was I the only one that started to lose the show the past two weeks? Too many characters at once, I couldn't figure out who Nicki's ex was or how he was associated with Wanda...also wonder why was the Ben/Margie thing just swept under the carpet?

They seem to pull out the Ben/Margie thing once per season.
I figured out the Nikki's ex/Wanda''s brother thing just from listening to his conversation with Wanda. Also that was kind of foreshadowed when Kathy told the story of Nikki having been forced into marraige (the scene in the backyard after they found out Kathy was the one testifying against Roman). I don't remember it ever being mentioned before that Nikki had been married on the compound.

Thoughts about last nights episode???

Um yeah. It moved a little quickly for me to follow everything. But who would have guessed that Roman would be the one to go??? He seemed like a such an important character to the story and so devilishly evil. Unless, he didn't die and at the start of next season he takes a BIG breath. That would be really, really interesting.
I LOVED that Ted got what was coming to him. I just can't stand him and his wife and thought it was pretty disgusting them trying to coerce (is that the word I"m looking for?) their way into Bill's casino business just after Cindy outed Barb to her church.
I was really wishing that the whole Ben/Margine attraction would have played out more.
I was also really wishing that more would have happened between Nikki and Ray the DA. Man, he is cute.
And I guess I'm a little disappointed that Bill was so willing to get unsealed from Nikki. I mean, they make that seem so "eternal" when they get sealed but then it seemed awfully easy for them to suddenly get unsealed. Like they just had to make an appointment or something.
Cant wait to read other posters thoughts...

I watched the episode 2 times, fast-forwarding through what was 'boring' to me, lol...
OMG about the KISS!!!
freaky!
Roman is so CRAZY- I like when he spews crazy-psycho-religous-babble- he MEANS it; he is so SINCERE. amazing!
LOVE the ending. Love how Nikki & her daughter walk in smack dab in the middle of their religious ceremony!
Seems like she'll be accepted, like they'll try to make it work. seems to me that even if Nikki isn't a 'wife', i.e. they're unsealed, then at least she'll be part of their new church...

Really disappointed that Roman was the one to go. I love his acting.
I thought the various attempts to rescue the girl was a little drawn out.
My husband thinks the show has jumped the shark...but not me, I enjoyed this season and I'm looking forward to the next, whenever that may be!

The Fonz lives on! Are you guys in show business? I rarely hear that term used.... I don't think Big Love has quite hit that point. When angels start floating down from heaven crowning Bill the new prophet, then I might say it's jumped the shark!

I'm only in show biz in my own mind! I thought that term was pretty mainstream. I agree about the angels - ha!

I hear that phrase ALL the time. And I am definitely guilty of using it.
I wouldn't say that is has jumped the shark...yet. But it may be on its way.

Re: jump the shark - I agree it is a common term. And I don't know if anyone else here watches House, but I swear about 2 weeks ago House was messing around making some kind of race track kind of thing with medical equipment and he sent something down and it jumped over a shark! I was assuming they are responding to people thinking House has jumped the shark. (House is such a strange show it's hard to tell if it has jumped yet! Sometimes I think it jumps several times per season, but springs back)
Back to the finale...I do wonder if Roman is really dead. I can't believe Nikki and Albie's mother is shaking down Albie for information after he has just tried to bomb her hotel room, AND she has the composure to call Roman and warn him.
Nikki...I think it was important that Barb saw Nikki vulnerable at the compound and they ahd that talk. I think Bill and Barb are going to realize that a lot of the way Nikki behaves is not totally her fault - she is so confused and damaged from her upbringing. I think that Bill will not go thought with the separation/divorce/unsealing whatever.
Has anyone figured out why Selma wears a suit? How many wives does Hollis Green have, and do they wear suits? Does anyone else love the way he answers the phone "Hollis...Green."
What is Sarah thinking? Will she also hear the testimony or whatever and encourage Scott to take more wives?
The possibilities seem endless with this show. Just exploring the kids is fascinating - how can Ben or Sarah or the other one they ignore (Teensie?) grow up and have a normal marriage after being raised the way they have? Won't they then not be living the way Bill's church wants its members to?
I think I would have liked to see less about the rescue of the girl, and more to tie up other loose ends of other characters. The scenes between Roman and Hollis were really entertaining though!

I use that expression all the time!! For example, Jon and kate jumped the shark when they spent an entire episode watching Jon get hair plugs.
