The BJs have a higher canopy than the BOB. If you want to use the stroller for an older child, I would go with either of the BJs

Second that. Bob has slightly wider seat, but baby joggers' is definitely taller. My big 4.5 y.o. fits in the baby jogger, but her head is "squished" in bob.
BJ has a very smooth ride, and you don't necessarily need the elite model (unless that's what you set you mind to :)). You can get city classic for around 299 and have everything you need.

also what is the differance between the alloy rims on 2008 and plastic rims on 09 will the alloy hold up?
