My 15 yo Krups is dying and since D is the only coffee drinker I would like to buy him a new one for Father's Day. Not the fancy kind that grinds beans or requires me to buy the little coffee packets, just regular drip coffee maker. Would love something that looks cool too!

We love our BUNN.... no frills, but it makes the best coffee FAST.

we have the cuisinart grind and brew and have been very happy with it. My sister has the same with the thermal carafe and loves hers too. I would assume the regular cuisinart that doesn't have the grind feature would be good too!

We have the Cuisinart 12-cup Brew Central coffee maker that we really like and I like how it looks, too.

I was going to recommend a Krups because the one we got for our wedding 14 years ago (holy cow) is still going strong. We used the stainless steel cuisinart for a while there when DH was on a thermal carafe kick.

Not cheap, but worth every penny.

DH researched the hottest coffee and this was it. He is a black coffee snob, and from now only will only buy Bunn. We went through two Krups in 2 years, and they were pricey models.

I like it too, especially b/c it is fast as and as a parent you can need caffine on a moments notice.

Does he drink coffee all day long? If not, a french coffee press would be good. My DH and I only have coffee maybe a few times a wk at most and got annoyed that a regular coffee maker took up so much space on our counter top. After our last grind and brew died, we got another one, but didn't think it was worth it. Returned it and I got a French press and we love it. Just right for a few cups of coffee, easy to put away, and doesn't take any electricity to work it, and the coffee comes out really good. It cost me less than $20 at TJ Maxx.

We just got a Cuisinart about a month or two ago and it's done great for us!

BUNN makes the best coffee makers. Look in restaurants, it's all they use for drip. My mom's is as old as I am (almost 40).

Just steer clear of Mr. Coffee.

We have a Cuisinart Grind n Brew thing that I got for $5 at a yard sale over 2 years ago. It's great!

we have the hamilton beach brewstation. Quite honestly, I would love something that didn't have so much plastic, but the safety aspect (no carafe to be pulled out) is essential in this house.

BUNN coffee makers are awesome. My parents bought us one when we got married because my dad said that was the only way that he would come to visit!
