During the last Sunshine Kids sale (beginning of March), I ordered 2 Monterey booster seats for DC. I ordered from Hipmonkey.com because they had the sale price, $5 return shipping, no sales tax in MI, an extra 5% coupon and it seems like they support a good cause. I did check them out online, and they have good reviews. The seats were on backorder, but I didn't really need them until school got out. Fast forward til now, 3 MONTHS later, I still don't have the seats. And since I paid with paypal, they have my $$$!
According to hipmonkey, SK isn't sending them the seats they ordered, they're sorry, blah, blah. I found a returned Monterey at Target for DS, so I asked them to cancel that part of the order and just send me the seat for DD. They just got a shipment of seats from SK, and oh, by the way, they didn't send ANY pink seats, so we have to wait some more for DD's seat (no ETA date), which I need NOW. Amazingly enough, their site shows that the pink monterey is IN STOCK, at full price, of course. So now, I'm going to have to go spend FULL PRICE to buy this stupid seat, since we need it to go on a 12 hour road trip in 2 weeks. And I'm not sure who I'm most pi$$ed at -- SK, hipmonkey or me (for believing in either of the other 2).
