I'm worried I just messed up a big phone order... I ordered a bunch of size 80 girls tops (tanks, pima t-shirts, twirly tops). DD has a number of Hanna playdresses, some size 70, some size 80 - the 70's are a little short, but not too tight. I thought dd's Hanna t's from last summer (too tight and her belly hangs out!) were size 70, but they are size 60. She's 18 months, but small - 21 pounds - although she wears a bigger size top than bottom in most brands.
Anyone have sizing advice or know how that Hanna tops run??

I think the size depends on height. My dd wore 80 tops fine at 18 months - she was around the 75th percentile for both height and weight. I don't remember her exact stats at 18 months. She just turned two and fits well in 90 shorts, shirts, and skorts - dresses and pants are a bit longish still. She is 34.5 inches and 30 lbs - still 75th percentile for both height and weight.

As I typed this, I realized I really need to look up her height....31"

Size 80 should fit perfectly. My DD is similar in size to yours and started wearing a size 80 loosely at about 12 mo. and just recently (2-3 months past her second birthday) started to wear 90's.
Hanna chart:
80 cm
30-34 in.
20-27 lbs.
10-24 mos.

This is not very helpful to you, but some of it depends on the year and the particular item. My 40 inch tall DD can *still* fit into her power-of-a-great tees size 70. Yes, size 70 - when she is in size 100 playdresses, long johns, jackets and pants. She outgrew all her other size 70 tops, sweaters and jackets no later than 2, so this is just bizarre, but it fits her great! I think size 80 is right and even if it's big this year, will be fit for a long time, so don't worry about it.

I might be the voice of dissent, but I think 80s will be really big. My dd is 16 months old and hovering right around 19 lbs and about the same height. She is still wearing all of her 70 Zippers and has 2 long sleeve 70 playdress sets that fit with room. I have a short sleeve 80 playdress that I bought during the sale last year that I pulled out the other day and it is gigantic on her. Granted, I haven't washed and dried it yet, but it is huge. Given that information, I ordered a 70 short sleeve set that arrived Friday and she wore it today and it fit perfectly. The dress is just below knee length on her.

Trying to walk the line between all pp. My DS is 22 months and vascillates between 95-97% for height. At last measuring he was 36" but that was about 2 mos. ago. He's 30% for weight - around 25 lbs and a bit.
He is on the verge of outgrowing 80 zippers (we also do 90s, which bunch a bit, but are easier to zip!), but can wear 70 onesies on the lower snaps, 80s as well, but they hang in the torso, and is pretty much wearing 80 tops (He can do 18 mo. tops in other brands still). He wears 80 bottoms but could do 90s as well. I find that the HA measurements are very accurate - which is great when you have a 22 mo. old that's the height of your average 3 yr. old!
My point? How is your DD built? My DS is very long (tall), but mostly legs. His torso is shorter as are his arms. At your DD's age, my DS was still wearing 70 tops comfortably. If your DD is longer on the bottom (only) then 80s tops will be very roomy, but if she's more equal, or longer on the top, they might be OK. In any case - she should grow into them, which is much better than having ordered too small :)
