i have bought large lots on ebay. many of the books in the lots are brand new. even if they are perfect, could you use as favors and just make it a more green gift (saved these books from the landfill).

i would much rather get a used classic good book as a party favor, than the cheesy titles from dollar store brand new. i am a book snob when it comes to titles being a reading teacher and a picky sole. hth

Our stop and shop supermarket often has boardbooks at the front of the book isle for $1. Its usually pretty random as to the topic. Our recent purchase where some friendly looking superhero ones. HTH.

I have given them as favors at two parties in the last few months. They have alot of pre-school workbooks. They also have Sesame Street, Mickey Mouse, Pooh, spiderman, Christian, etc books. Best thing is everything is $1!!

Love the Dollar Tree!! Some stores are better than others.

BJs/Costco sometimes sells a pack of board books. It depends on the age you are looking for I guess, I saw a pack that had 12 little square books and each book had a theme (shapes, colors, etc) which is probably for a 1 or 2 year old. You could break up the pack and give each child one book. I think they had Cars. We have a set that is Sesame Street. It was about $8-9 for the set of 12.

Sometimes TJMaxx/Marshalls also have these sets.

I would stay away from sortfloorbooks for party favors. The last set I got were damaged and had the sticky stuff on the back where there used to be a tag. The books look like they had been used pretty well. I was disappointed since the previous stuff I had got from them were in pretty good condition.
