Anyone used Electric Insurance Company?

I just found out my husband and likely can get a discount on getting auto/homeowners policies through Electric Insurance Company. Before I get a quote from them, I wondered if anyone had any experience with them?

Yes & I like them fine - I used to work for GE as a summer intern & started buying from them. My folks have had them for 15 years and never had any problems with claims.

I'm in the life insurance industry, and no red flags go up on this one. They are part of GE, have been around awhile and have decent ratings. That said, I've never heard of them so have no idea how they are to work with - but I think with any company, you'll likely get some positive and some negative stories, especially when you poll a small population like the BBB.

They were recently in my office trying to get me to sign on with them - I have enough companies as it is - but they seemed to be fine. If I needed another company - I'd have considered them.

btw - you can get a Home/Auto discount from just about every single carrier out there nowadays - so it would pay to get some other prices.
