Looking to pick up a face painting kit for future parties. Any suggestions on which ones to get (or to avoid)? Where to buy?

Thanks!

The Klutz Face Painting book and paint set is WONDERFUL! It's full of ideas and the paints are really nice. They go on well and stay on. :)

I picked up some paints at a teacher supply store and hired a preteen for a party for $30 total. It freed me up to enjoy the party more :) Just a thought!

Thanks, Angela. I'm thinking of ordering this book/set by Klutz.

But I did want to get some cute pinks and purples. Did you use what was in the set (primary colors) or did you buy a separate paint set for other colors to supplement?

We just use the primary ones and mix them as needed to make new colors. :)

I think Lyra makes one but I've never used it.

Here they are:

Just make sure they are lead-free. Many/most face paints on the market contain lead - read the fine print, and try and buy Made in USA/Canada if possible!

Yeah, the lead issue i ssomething I'd be concerned with. The Lyra are probably made to EU standards or something like that, which may be better.
