Okay, the mood has struck me too - do you sleep in your underwear? What about your bra?
My mom made a federal case about not sleeping in my underwear as a kid and how I had to "breathe" and not be constricted with unnecessary elastics. When I moved out it felt like quite a big deal to start sleeping in my underwear. Now I do it all the time. On nights when I shower before bed, I will sometimes put the underwear on and other times not, but I still prefer sleeping in undies. I HATE sleeping in a bra though. Hate it! I do it on occasion when we stay with people or if I am nursing, but I hate it in so many ways!
What about you??

Um, ya the thought to not wear underwear to bed has not crossed my mind. But I do hate sleeping in a bra except when nursing, then it is just a sleep bra.

Tried going w/o but I find it more comfortable to have it on. No bra though. No way. I take that off once I know I am home for the day!

That's so funny Marina. I always thought you're not supposed to sleep in your bra. Must've been something I read in a teen girl's book. I only wear a bra to bed when I'm nursing now. As for underwear, I feel a little funny not wearing them because I always have. And after "doing the deed" I have to wear them to prevent, cough cough, wet spots. :p

People sleep in their bras??? Really??? I mean, I did it when I was nursing because I leaked everywhere and needed the pads (and still leaked through the pads and woke up in a puddle of milk:irked:) But other than that, I can't imagine sleeping in a bra!

Heck, yes, I always sleep in undies. I also prefer to sleep in a bra cuz my big boobs feel better when supported even in sleep. I go without sometimes, but generally, I have a few bras I use for sleeping.
More often than not, I sleep in the workout clothes I plan to wear the following day, roll out of bed, drive DS to pre-school, go home and work, then work out, then shower about 2pm. That's my life.

Undies- yes. Bra, barely ever. I'd rather wash my sheets due to BM leaks than wear a bra.

Yes to undies and bra (someone once told me I should always be supported to prevent sagging? doubt it's true, but it stuck in my mind...). Though my godmother never put them on her kids, it was a big deal about 'breathing', too. Um... what's not breathable about cotton kids underwear???? lol.
I'm like Fairy...though my 'workout' is walking the dogs to the front yard first thing in the morning :ROTFLMAO:

No bra to bed.
Definitely yes on the underwear. If I slept without underwear, my
husband would view this as an invitation. :)

No.My single father taught me that my mom never wore them. She got tons of YI, and she said she needed her "stuff" to breathe.I have never had one. I got in the habit of not wearing them. I usually sleep completely in the nude....

undies- always
bra- only when I'm BF and I will wear a night-nurser or a tank with the built in support. Never an underwire bra, though.

I prefer to go no undies. It's just more comfortable for me. I sleep in a bra when I am visiting people, otherwise no way!!

When I was a (very sheltered) teenager I always slept in a bra and underwear. I liked the feeling of being contained.
Now I prefer no undies, and no PJs. You get used to it really fast. I feel much more comfortable in my own skin this way. Plus, it feels cleaner to me.
I don't think it's necessary to "air out" anything but I'm grossed out by the idea of wearing the same underwear to bed that I wore all day. And wearing underwear only for sleeping seems wasteful. And wearing the next day's underwear..... well I take a shower in the morning so I want all fresh stuff to put on.

I wear underwear. I'd rather not wash sheets if that time starts in the middle of the night. Also if my shirt rides up my butt gets cold.
No bra. I did try wearing a sports bra in early pregancy but gave up on it. It is also easier to nurse w/out one. I deal with leakage and put a pad under my side of the bed.

Panties? 50-50 or so. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Bras NEVER unless I am nursing and even then not all the time.

I always wear panties have since I was a kid, I did sleep with a bra on until I was 13 or 14 and it just became too umcomfortable. I did wear a nursing bra to bed, but that is it.

Undies always. And sometimes, like Fairy said, I also will sleep in my running clothes to give myself fewer excuses not to run in the morning. Otherwise, no bra unless I'm nursing.

I had that same mother, Marina. So my answer is usually not - but sometimes.

Me too! That's the problem with sleeping naked--too easy access. Remember--don't give them eye contact! ;)
undies - yes
bra - no (except when I was nursing)

Yes to undies (under pj bottoms), and a shelf-style tank now that I'm bigger. I need that support up there. When it's too too hot, and when I was smaller on top, it's only a regular cotton tank or a shirt and short bottoms (no undies).

I do wear underwear. I hate wearing a bra to bed, but have for the 3.5 consecutive years I've been nursing. Ugh. I also haven't slept on my stomach for that long :( b/c I'm afraid of plugged ducts.

Too funny, I am so amazed at how many people sleep in underwear! I didn't know people did that! I was always taught it's a time to air things out, I don't sleep naked, usually wear short pjs but no undies under them.

I also hate wearing a bra to bed. That's why I sleep in my Target Gilligan O'Malley nursing tanks. Its a nursing bra and t-shirt in one, so no bra necessary! Theyre so comfortable and hold the nursing pads in place well enough for me. Theyre also inexpensive, so I have about 5 of them.
Have you tried that?

Undies depending on what pj's (lounging pant style) I have on, some tend to creep into places so the undies keep em out (sorry if TMI but consider the topic)....I still wear my comfy sleeping bras from my nursing days....a lightweight cotton bra from Motherhood, I hate when my "girls" touch my skin, too hot....and always if I know my IL's are coming early to babysit the kids, nothing like FIL seeing me au naturel under my tshirt in the AM!
I tried to encourage DD to not wear undies under her pj's but she said it felt funny...

Yep on the undies. Just feels more comfy. I don't sleep in bras though. Even though I'm nursing and everywhere says I should I just enjoy the freedom :) I have slept i a nursing tank from time to time though, especially in the beginning when I leaked.

Yes to undies, and preferably to a bra. I am sooo much more comfortable with some sort of bosom support! My husband is not a fan. Naturally.

I do have one, but it's not always clean.
