I searched high and low for this Halloween costume, it finally came (I thought it was lost in the mail). I pieced it together from stuff on ebay and etsy and now it is here and DD WON'T WEAR IT!!! It was only $30, but it was $30!!! And it was something I thought she would love as she is really into it right now. Grrrr!!!!!

Any chance she'll change her mind? Halloween's a long way off still. Maybe if you just hang it up where she can see it she'll want to try? What a bummer though!

How frustrating! As I often say about DD1/DD2, good thing she is so cute! ;)

Do you think it is a power struggle? I would just hang it where she can see and get to it. Do not pressure her to wear it. If she still won't wear it after a week or 2, tell her you are thinking of selling it. DD1 would quickly change her tune if she thought I did not care and that someone else would get the item. Oh man....maybe she will change her mind. If she has any friends over I would show them the costume enthusiastically. If anything gets my kids interested in something, it's seeing a friend want it first.

DS1 wouldn't wear his costume last year. Then kids started knocking on the door and he saw his sister all ready to go TorT'ing and he all but threw it on... LOL! Hopefully she'll change her mind.
