How do you get lumps out of rugs?

DD has a PB rug that we got at the outlet - it's awesome, but it bunches up terribly. I thought time would eventually straighten it out, that maybe it was like that because it had been rolled up (or maybe even folded) for too long, but we've had it now for at least 6 months and nadda.

Any ideas? We don't have a pad underneath and it does lay on top of carpet, if that matters.

This worked for us...spray the rug until damp with the mist setting on a big squirt bottle filled with water (unless your rug cannot be cleaned with water). Depending on how severe the creases, you may have to use more water. In our most severely folded rug I shampooed it with a steam cleaner and this did the trick. I think this is an old Martha Stewart trick... Good luck.
