Waking up to a sink full of nasty, dirty dishes!

I came home late last night from a meeting to help organize a charity fundraiser. I had a big list of "to dos" from the meeting so I immediately head upstairs to the computer & work for another hour or so & then went to bed.

DH gave the kids dinner & put them to bed last night. He flew out early this morning & doesn't get back until after bedtime Friday.

It was so pleasant (ha!) to go into our kitchen this morning & see a sink full of disgusting, nasty plates full of half soaked food. The dishwasher still needs to be unloaded. The counters being a mess & the greasy baking tray full of fish stick crumbs on the counter was an added bonus. Just gross.

I'm sure he wasn't sitting on the couch & bumming around after the kids went to bed - knowing him, he was working. But still, who can go to bed knowing there is a huge mess in the kitchen! I came home at 10:30 and he was already asleep.

Huh, I came from a meeting to the same thing last night! Thankfully I dealt with it BEFORE going to bed, but come on gentlemen, when you are the ones home when dinner is over, deal with the dishes!

I can go to bed knowing that, but my husband usually can't. Thank god! ;)

I hate dirty dishes in the sink so much. It's a rule that dirty dishes go on the counter b/c I hate reaching into things that have been soaking in cold, dirty water. Blech.

Oooh I hate it that! Especially when DH leaves them in water. That's a dealbreaker. I won't touch them then!
