Cha Cha wants to be a paleontologist. He loves talking about dinosaur fossils and dinodigs, etc. For his last birthday we had all the kids "dig" for dino bones in this plaster material. He LOVED it.

Any recommendations for a good toys of this nature? I saw the Globonz and am intrigued but some of the reviews for it on Amazon say the structures don't stay together well after assembly. Any reviews about that toy?

TIA!

I remember seeing a really cool kit where you would "excavate" for dinosaur bones. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me though and a quick search on Amazon didn't turn it up.

I did see these:

http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-T-Rex-Skeleton-Excavation-Adventure/dp/B00005BMI7/ref=pd_sbs_t_1

Or this:

Also, I saw your other thread about Cha Cha liking crafts. Maybe he'd like one of the kits TRU sells where you mold your own dinosaur and then paint it?

My DS1 loves these little sandbox toys. Not much keeps him occupied or sitting still for more than a few minutes, but he will play with these for a good 45 minutes. Great for a rainy day and not too messy if you put it on a cookie tray.

Not a toy exactly, but I just happened to stumble upon this site and thought about this thread:

http://www.rain.org/~philfear/download-a-dinosaurx.html

It has designs to print out and make 3-D dinosaurs with paper, scissors and glue. Haven't tried it, but it sure looks like it would be fun for a dino crazy kid.
