I'd like to get a playpen so that I can take a shower, cook etc without worrying! Does anyone have any suggestions for a good one? I'd like it to be sturdy and big enough that it doesn't seem like so much of a cage ;). Thanks!

We have this: http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Pack-Play-Playard-Quilt/dp/B000056C86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1257096020&sr=8-1. It folds like a pack n play, but it's bigger.

I have the big one, like the one that someone posted in the one step ahead catalog, except that I bought mine at a regular store, not through OSA. We like it and will bring it back out when DS3 starts to walk again, since our house is a lego minefield.

We have one of these SuperYards as well -- if you can wait until day after Thanksgiving we got ours last year at TRU for $40.

I think it depends on the age of the child. The Graco playard a previous poster suggested is great for babies. For slightly older children (I'd say crawling and up), then i would suggest this:

http://www.amazon.com/Friendly-Toys-Little-Playzone-Sounds/dp/B00021NX9C/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&s=baby-products&qid=1257115277&sr=8-15

I have this and it was used very heavily! Very sturdy, lots of room so it doesn't seem like a prison, keeps them entertained, and room enough for you too on occassion!

Thanks! I have a baby now, but I'd rather buy one thing that I can use longer, so I will check this out... It was okay during the walking stage?
