Grandparents might be interested in buying a rocking horse (or other animal)for DD's first birthday. Good idea? Any specific recommendations?

We have 5 rockers and the ones that get the least play are the solid wood ones. We have this one http://www.backtobasicstoys.com/item/productid/5553/txt/Stanley_Snail_Rocker/?source=PDGOG09 but it doesn't seem to have enough range to the back/forth motion. Good for the younger set (has a nice backrest) but they will outgrow it by the time they are 2 1/2.

I would suggest a plush horse. We have one I got on the cheap at Walgreens (believe it or not) and it is by far the most loved rocker in our house. We bought this one http://www.squidoo.com/Lucky-Deluxe-Spring-Horse last Christmas and my Dd's ride it all the time now. I wouldn't say it's the best choice for a 1yo, though.

My son likes his Little Tikes Rocking Blue Puppy and his older cousins (5 and 7) have been known to rock on it as well. http://www.amazon.com/Little-Tikes-1618-Rocking-Puppy/dp/B000087LI0

I found this one (http://www.chittypulga.com/prodinfo.asp?number=AB-ADINO-ROCKER)at TJ Maxx on clearance and my 15 month old DD LOVES it! It's very plush and comfy, and it's short enough that she can get on & off by herself.
