My baby needs 100% cotton sleepwear. We live in SD - very cold. I'm having a hard time finding warmer PJ's for him in 100% cotton. Any ideas where I could get some online? He is 3 months - but needs about a 12 month size.
Thanks,
Jennifer

We use regular cotton PJs for DS and layer over them with fleece PJs.

That way he has cotton against his skin, but the fleece keeps him warm.

We live in an area with cold winters and I just use Gymboree or Hanna 100% cotton zippers or LJs then put a Carter's fleece footed sleeper over it since he does not use a blanket. Keeps him warm all night.

Fleece seems to make him so sweaty...does anyone else have that problem?

We love Hanna Andersson's thick 100% cotton PJs - wear them with socks for bedtime. They are on sale at the outlets right now (phone order only). Pricier than other PJs but so very worth it! They last forever and my DD wears them all the time when she is home. She refuses to wear fleece.

I have been using HA footless zippered PJ's (the are on sale now) with a fleece sleep sack on top with success. DS is chubby and is usually a sweaty baby. He doesn't sweat with this combination. We live have chilly MD winters, but I'm sure they are not as cold as SD!

Are the HA pj's tight-fitting?

They are snug fitting. Get the striped ones since they have more of a stretch to them and are softer than the print ones. The outlets are having an additional 30% off sale right now where the 2 piece long johns are $19.60 and footless zipper sleepers are $17.50 after the discount.

DS doesn't seem to get sweaty wearing the fleece over the cotton jammies.

:yeahthat:
We love our two pairs two (one short, and one long). You might also check Costco. We got some organic cotton long john ones there a few months back and have been really happy with them. Not quite as soft as Hanna's, but DD doesn't complain, and they wash well and might be easier to get to than a Hanna outlet or waiting for a Hanna package in the mail.

No blanket or swaddle? I'd probably do any footed sleep wear and a swaddle or blanket tucked in around him. At size 12m you can buy my favorite PJs- the 100% cotton, 2 piece sets from Target's Carters' spin off line. They are sold in a pack of 2 sets of PJs and they cost $15. Best deal around and they are comparable, imo, to the Gap ones.

How about putting a cotton shirt and socks under the footed pjs?
Or if you have the money, get some wool pjs - these are supposed to be awesome and will keep them warm but not sweaty.
