Last night the movie 1408 was on. I decided to start watching not really knowing what I was getting into. Needless to say, I had to turn it off, I get scared way to easy. Have you seen this movie? Will you tell me how it ends? I need to know that John Cusack survived!

**SPOILER ALERT***
He doesn't die--what part did you see up to? It might be hard to explain the end depending on what you saw. I read that there was an alternate ending in which he did die, but I liked it better the way they left it.
This is a pretty good synopsis of the movie, including the ending:

Hmm, I really wanted to see this, but I am a big chicken... is it pretty scary?

IMDB is also a good place to find out spoilers on a movie in the discussion threads at the bottom. I didn't see this one, but I saw John Cusack's "Identity," and MAN, that was creepy.

I love the movie spoiler! I read spoilers on there all the time when I want to see a movie that might be too scary for me. It helps me decide if I think I can handle the movie or not.
Also, I thought 1408 was pretty good. I hadn't read the Stephen King story, so I can't speak to how good of an adaptation it was. It wasn't gory-scary like a lot of scary movies are these days, and I thought the story was well told. I had to watch it during the day though, it was too scary for me at night!

ok, I just read the spoiler and I think it may be too scary for me. Even when I watch scary movies during the day, they stay with me for a looooong time. I can't help it. Anyway, as Fairy said, I saw Identity too and that movie was downright creepy!

I found 1408 absolutely *terrifying*. I love horror movies and like to get scared - and 1408 did the job! SO scary!!!

I saw 1408 pre-DD & thought it was a good scary movie .... but I don't think I could handle it now. 1408 and The Mist - both came out about the same time and both make me shudder to remember certain parts of them now. Stephen King *really* knows how to turn the screws.

No kidding! I watched Stephan King's "It" in college and I can STILL see the teeth on that clown. Terrifying.

Seriously... I have yet to meet a child who likes clowns.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and thanks Cheburashka for the link on the movie spoiler. I did read the whole thing to find out what happened. I am glad I turned it off, the little I saw ( I got to the point where he tries to climb out the window and leave that way) still bothers me. No more scary movies for me!
