Well, we decided to pass on the bassett living room furniture after we found out it was not all leather and it was made in china. Well, now we like a set on costco.com....it is all leather but it is made in Vietnam. What do you think about foreign made furniture...? do you think it might be full of toxins...the leather is italian leather...here are the links:

We always buy American made when possible, especially furniture. Its some of the best in the world and one of the few industries we have remaining in the US. Would never consider MIC.

On a separate note, I sometimes wonder the validity of products that say "made in italy" leather...seems like a lot of that could be a scam. Not speaking specifically to your situation. Just makes me wonder sometimes when I hear that. Sort of how you see a product that says "designed in england" then the box says "made in china"

I prefer made in the US or Canada but I do not rule out other furniture if I like it and it is in my price point.

I don't care. I think American made furniture is higher quality, but if you're just looking for cheap, then I'd buy from China/Vietnam without worrying about toxins, etc.
