I am looking for some new DVDs/cartoons for my 4-year old DS. We're going on vacation in 3 weeks, and he has really grown out of Sesame Street and Baby Einstein DVDs we have at home. Is anything out there for the 4-5 yr old set that I can get a good deal on?

Thanks!

It's been awhile, but I found this: http://www.amazon.com/Best-New-Scooby-Doo-Movies/dp/B0007939Q6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1267822130&sr=8-1

at Big Lots for $5 or $6. It's great and tons of different episodes on it. My kids really have enjoyed it. I would check there.

Marshalls and TJ Maxx have good prices on kids dvds.

My best bets have been: store that sells used DVDs. I think the one I've gone to is called CD trader. Our libraries have every kids CD imaginable. The CDs rent for one week but will extend them for vacation.

You may want to try GoHastings.com. They have a used DVD section and have a big selection of children/family movies. It especially works out well if you want to buy a few at a time as the shipping is something like $6. Sometimes Slickdeals will post a promo code for 30-40% off. I ordered 7 DVDs a couple of months ago and most of them looked brand new. I believe the "used" ones have been sold back by customers and the "previously viewed" are from rentals. I bought both and had no problems with either one. They ship from different locations and I got some of mine within a couple of days.

We borrow DVDs and CDs from our library pretty frequently. Just make sure you test out what you bring home before your trip. Occasionally we end up with a DVD or CD that is too scratched to play properly.

We stopped by Blockbuster today and saw lots of 'previously viewed' kids DVDs priced pretty cheap. It probably varies store to store, but you might check your local Blockbuster or Hollywood or whatever.
