Would you be comfortable purchasing a refurbished Ipod Touch from the Apple store? I'm considering one and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with one.

I bought one for DH a year or so ago and he's had no issues with it. Of course, since I upgraded my iPhone he got the hand-me-down orginal iPhone that I was using so the Touch has been very lonely since then.

I bought my ipod touch refurb from Apple - no problem - like new. It comes with a decent warrenty and on top of that, if you're nervous about it, you can always buy AppleCare warrenty. AppleCare is MUCH cheaper on eBay than from Apple - the eBay ones are legit.

I'd only buy a refurb from Apple directly.

I wouldn't. The price difference between a refurbished one and a new one is really insignificant when you think of the long-term use of the iPod. That said, I don't have any actual experience purchasing a refurbished iPod.

Had no problems with the one I bought two years ago. I wouldn't mind buying a refurbished ipod or macbook from Apple again.

I bought DH's refurbished ipod from apple 2 years ago and it's still going strong with daily use (knock on wood!). I can't remember what model his is but it's a basic ipod, not a touch (I'm not very ipod savvy).

My mom bought one from them and she has had no problems with it. Also FWIW, she had a question about it and the people at the Apple store still helped her with it -- they were very friendly and helpful.

Thanks ladies! I bought one. Seems like a nice way to save some money on buying one.
