Trying to think of one, sort of useful, party favor for the goody bags (the kids already get some pinata candy). I have a max budget of less than $5 per kid and I have a mix of 12 6-7 year old boyish boys, girly girls and kids in the middle who are into very boy-ey or girly stuff. I think Ive exhausted the crayola options over the years, anyone got any ideas, I can get 2 different things at a push, but prefer not to.

Does your party have a theme?

How about activity books? Or a card game? My 5 & 7yo boys are loving the matchbox color shifter cars right now and they are about $3. They are also very into Mario and Pokemnon cards and the Star Wars buildables that come in a pack like trading cards.

We don't really have a theme, we made the invitation and DD stuck all her favorite things on (horses, penguins, eagles, owls, cheetahs, cats and a picture of Taylor Swift). I'm hoping we can do some games outside probably including an animal treasure hunt, or if its inside, a bunch of crafty things, freeze dance, pass the parcel etc.
DH made DD an awesome 3 ft diameter hula hoop, he wants to do it for all the kids and let them decorate and take home. I'm just not sure, she really got it with the bigger hoop so likes doing it, but maybe other kids wouldn't be so into it, if they couldn't do it and got frustrated. Also that only works if we are outside.

Old Navy has these cute resuable bags for a dollar. Thats all I can contribute to this thread right now :-) I got a bunch of them with my Give and Get coupon (making them 70 cents each). You could do that and fill them with some stickers/coloring books/candy/bubbles/pencils etc etc....

The big bouncy balls you can get at Old Navy.

I've seen kites somewhere for $2.99.

A Yo-Yo.

Bookmarks.

Flashlights.

Small flower pot and seeds.

I got two different Dover books for each kid at DD's upcoming party. Total of 16 books and using Amazon's 4-3 promotion and they were super cheap! I hate getting crap in the goody bags and keep hoping the fad will die.
