Are they accurate with their backorder dates? I have to wait for something for 7 weeks. It would be nice to see it before then! Thanks!

for me not only did my backorder items not come in early, but they have overestimated availability. the last time i ordered something on 'backorder,' i received a message--about a month after the order was placed-- saying that they weren't coming in at all. i was so disappointed...i had bought several things to coordinate with it and there was nothing else available at that point to replace it. i would call and check in on your order.

I had something backordered for DD once, and it came in much faster than what they originally said. I believe they said 5 weeks, but I got it in less than 2 weeks. This was for kids clothes. I have no experience ordering their women's clothes.

I was supposed to receive a backordered item in 4 weeks. As it turned out, I got it in about 2 1/2 weeks.

Almost every time I've ordered something that was backordered, it arrived more quickly than promised.

I just ordered some medium leggings in navy that have a 7 week wait too. Thats well into June! I ordered leggings in another color in a size large that have a 3 week wait. I am predicting they will be too big but the reviews were so good I had to try them. Hopefully they will come sooner but I wont hold my breath. I suppose they charge you right away then, huh? Not when they ship?
Does the X mean never coming back in unless its a return? Bummer.
If DH only knew how much Ive been ordering lately. Its hard though, because you cant see it so you just have to just go ahead get it and try it. Ive got tons of stuff Im still waiting for. My mailroom guy thinks Im crazy, Im sure. How embarassing!

In my experience on backordered items I've typically gotten them much sooner than expected. I have had a few items where I've gotten a letter stating the item is not coming in however I think that was mostly items that were in exchange for a return where the processing is a bit slow or ones that showed low stock. Typically the X means it is not coming back unless there is a return however one season last year some items that had been Xs did seem to get more stock. If it's an item you really like just keep checking the web. Ordering via the web is the fatest way to get an item with limited stock. There was something I really wanted so I placed multiple orders via phone & web where I discovered web is the way to go. Can you tell I buy a lot of Boden! :)

I got an actual letter in the mail today saying my rosette top is running late. Isnt that funny? It has been forever though. I was just surprised to see this letter on Boden stationery come to my house.
